MAVIS's POV-:
"W-why?"
"Why what Angel?"
I broke into sobs.
"W-why a-are you....d-doing....this?"
"Because I have to." He said plainly.
"I thought you were getting better. I thought...."
"What?" He cut me off
"What did you think?"
"Did you really think you were changing me? Fixing me, perhaps? Just cuz I didn't fuck a corpse since we've been together?" He laughed bitterly.
"How ambitious of you, Angel."
He grabbed my jaw tightly, forcing me to face him.
"I'm too fucked up to be fixed. Get it through that thick skull of yours." He hissed harshly, bringing me to tears.
"You may help calm me, but you can't fix me. You will never be able to fix me! So forget about it and just give in."
I was shattered, heartbroken, but also infuriated, humiliated.
"NO!" I countered, refusing to surrender without a fight.
"No?" He chuckled.
"It's adorable how you think you have a say in the matter." He taunted.
"I'm done Taehyung. I won't let you kill people for your amusement and use me as an excuse to justify your insanity!"
His face changed, from haughty to unfathomable. I was intimidated, would be an understatement.
"I'm curious, what is it that you're gonna do?" He asked, faking a over dramatic look of bafflement to mock me.
He look over at my parents, caution written on both their faces.
Then his ominous orbs collided with mine. They were enough to make me shake in trepidation.
"My Angel, when did you become so disobedient?"
"W-what..." my voice broke, in utter perplex.
He smirked and walked away from me, trailing the long whip he held behind him. He stood in front of my parents, and turned to give me one last menacing grin, and without a second of hesitation, he raised his arm and I watched as the horrifying whip swung and hit my mother.
She yelped helplessly. My father saw the same fate, as he cried out in pain.
"Taehyung! NO! STOP!" I shrieked, my pitch punctured my own eardrums.
He looked at me, slightly out of breath, but the satisfaction that glowed on his face, was dreadful.
"Tell me this isn't the most satiating display I could have put for you." He declared.
I couldn't believe him. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't. Why couldn't I?
Was he right? Was this secretly something I'd pined for this whole time? REVENGE?
'Embrace it Mavis. This is who you truly are. This is who we truly are. Monsters. Heartless, Broken, Monsters. And right in front of you, is the only man who'll still stand by us, for he has already identified and embraced it. Now, it's your turn, Naive little Mavis.'
No! I can't! They're still my parents! I can't let him hurt them! They still love me!
"You wretched Bitch! I wish you were never born!" My mother roared, consumed with hate and blind rage.
Taehyung chuckled.
"This is what you're choosing over me Mavis? This pathetic excuse of a Mother?" He taunted me.
I looked over at my mother, who's eyes had nothing but hate and disgust for me.
My father was no better, if they weren't tied, they'd kill me themselves.
"Lily, you should have aborted her when you had the chance. I told you this child would be the death of us. And now, that's exactly what she has become!" My father blamed my mother.
And I watched. I watched my parents squabble over, ME. How I'm a problem and instead of dealing with it, they'd rather shun me out. That's how they always dealt with me. They Shunned me Out.
Tears welled up, clouding my vision. But at the same time, I was finally starting to see the truth.
They were horrid. My parents, the humans who made me, they were hideous, cruel, selfish assholes.
And all this while, they made me the problem, when it was them. Them all along. Their inability to grow up and deal with their shit.
I started at the floor, reflecting on my life.
Was all of this really worth it?
I wanted to clench my palm, but that's when I realised, I was holding a Gun!
I have a fuckin gun, and I can put all this to an end, once and for all.
I held up the gun, and looked over at Taehyung. His body tensed up a bit.
He thought I'd aim at him, but he was dead wrong.
I lift the gun and aimed for my mother behind him. She looked at me in terror. Shock and betrayal marred her features.
"Mavis No!" Taehyung yelled.
I froze him out.
This was between me and my parents. And he had to stay the fuck out of our business.
"Mavis....w-what are y-you...d-doing?" My mother stuttered.
"Mavis! Put the gun down!" My father commanded.
I looked at him and smirked
"What's the matter daddy? Aren't you proud of me? I'm simply living up to your expectations."
"Cut the bullshit Mavis! This isn't funny!" My mother added.
"Oh it certainly is not. This is Over. I'm ending this once and for all. Goodbye Mother."
I pulled the trigger with all my might. But nothing happened.
The gun was empty.
A sigh of relief escaped Taehyung's lip.
"Grab her. NOW!" I heard Taehyung growl, ordering his men, who didn't waste a second before they tackled me, pinned me to the floor.
I yelped and clawed at them, struggling to break free, but it was all in vain.
My mother was so shaken up, she just sobbed and shivered endlessly.
"Let me go! Taehyung! Get them off me! Taehyung!" I ranted senselessly, desperate to finish what I started.
"I'm sorry Angel, but I'm not letting you dirty your hands with the blood of these vermin. But I'm truly thrilled to see that we're finally on the same page." He smiled.
"No! This is my battle! I have to be the one to do it! You can't! Taehyung!" I argued.
"Sorry Angel, no can do." Without further argument, he pulled out his gun. He flashed a charming grin.
"Save a seat in hell for me." With that he shot them both, in the middle of the eye.
"Nooo!" I howled. Unable to believe what I just witnessed. He killed them
They were gone.
I was the reason.
I caused this.
They were really gone, for good.
Taehyung's men released me, but I stayed down, too overwhelmed to Stand on my feet.
Taehyung walked to me and bent down to my level.
"It's finally over Mavis. No one in this world will ever harm you again."
"I can't believe you killed them." I said meekly.
He chuckled.
"Well you should cuz I did. The sooner you come to terms with it, the better."
"I have no one now. You killed everyone Taehyung."
He smirked.
"That's where you're wrong Angel Mine. You have ME. And I'm all you'll ever need."
I looked into his deep brown orbs. And what scared weren't his words, but the sincerity that sparkled in his eyes when he said them. He wasn't bluffing. He never did. He meant ever syllable.
"I'm all you've got now Mavis. And you are all MINE."
