MAVIS'S POV-:

"So, who's incharge of opening and locking up the diner?" Taehyung asked.
Lisa and I glanced at each other, honestly unsure of what to say in this so called 'staff meeting' he called for after Hoseok left, completely pissed off.
"Well...Jin usually opens and closes. But if he's unable to, I handle it." Lisa spoke as politely as she could, trying to do damage recovery for her sassy ass, first impression with her new boss.

Taehyung didn't even bother looking at her when she spoke. He either looked at the folder he help in his hand, or at me. It creeped me out.
"Alright. Miss Manoban, I'd like you to hand over your spare keys to Miss Stone. She's going to open and close the diner from now on." Taehyung declared.
"But Mr Kim....I have barely worked here for two weeks. I don't think it's appropriate for me to take on such a big responsibility. Lisa's been here longer. She should...." before I could finish he raised his palm, signalling me to stop.

"Miss Stone, firstly, you shall refer to me as Taehyung. Secondly, my decision is final. The duration for which either of you have worked here, makes no difference to me." Taehyung stated, dismissively.
Lisa exchanges eye contact with me for a second and then reached into her pocket, pulling out the spare key, giving them to me.
I took them hesitantly, guilt consuming me for doing this, but I had no choice.
"Good. Now that this is settled, let's move on to the final order of business." He stated as he crossed his legs.

"As you both know, I own many businesses, and they tend to keep me extremely busy. So, I shall be stopping by the diner everyday at night, before you lock up, Miss Stone. You shall fill me in on the sales of the day and any other necessary details. Understood?" He asked.
Lisa and I simply nodded.
"Umm..Taehyung, we actually need to hire kitchen staff. Earlier Jin did all the cooking since he enjoyed it....but now..." Lisa, twiddled with her thumbs in nervousness.

"Miss Manoban, I'd like to make myself very clear, Its Mr Kim to you. And the kitchen staff is none of your concern. I've already made the appropriate arrangements. I've hired a Michelin Star chef who shall be here soon." Taehyung retorted curtly, almost bringing Lisa to tears. She simply nodded and looked away.
"Well, I'm going to be off now. Carry on with your work. I shall see you later, Miss Stone." He said looking me straight in the eye, giving me goosebumps.
We watched through the window as he got into his Bentley Limousine and drove away.

"He's such a DICK!" Lisa shrieked in frustration. I gave her a hug, as I patted her back, calming her.
But I couldn't get rid of the chills that I felt in his presence.
It was almost electric. A single gaze of his, sent a tingle throughout my body.
Geez, this is going to be complicated. I sighed as I rested my head on Lisa's shoulder.

TAEHYUNG's POV-:

"Sir, as you had requested, all the evidence was planted in Jin's apartment. The police have closed the case. They are convinced it was him who killed Jisoo and also himself." Jungkook informed as I smirked in satisfaction.
"Good job Jungkook. Now, there's one more thing I need you to do." I stated maliciously.

MAVIS's POV-:

"Mavis! I gotta go!" Lisa yelled out for me frantically.
I was wiping down one of the tables. It was already 10:57 pm. I turned around to see Lisa, with tears in her eyes.
"Lisa! What's wrong?" I asked utterly confused and worried.
"My mom....she...she got into an accident...she was hit by a car!" She said, sobbing.
I gasped as I covered my mouth in horror.
"Oh my gosh. Lisa, I am so sorry. You go. I'll handle everything. Don't worry, keep me posted. Call me if you need anything, anything at all." I said, trying my best to comfort her.

She gave me a nod and ran out, leaving for the hospital.
I can't believe this. First Jin and Jisoo, and now Lisa's mom. What's happening?
Why are people dying?

'Why do you give a shit? People are bound to die someday.'
'Fuck off Mai!'

"Excuse me miss, could I get a coffee refill?" One of the costumers asked.
"Coming right up sir." I said with a smile.
After all the costumers left, I packed off the kitchen staff and washed the dishes. Now all I had to do, was wait for my boss. I sighed as I glanced at the clock.
It's already 12:25 am.
Where is he. We closed twenty minutes ago. I headed over to the locker room stripping my apron and hanging it in my locker. I shut the locker and turned only to gasp in surprise.

"Did I scare you Miss Stone?" Taehyung asked smugly.
I blinked, before answering.
"No, you startled me, Taehyung."
He chuckled and pulled away from the door of the locker room, he was leaning on.
"So, fill me in. How were the sales today?"
He inquired.
"Slow. But Tuesday usually are. So it wasn't exactly unusual." I informed.

He nodded. Stepping closer to me.
"Have you eaten yet?" He asked.
"Nope." I said with an emphasise on 'p'.
"Well let's go then. My treat. I want to make it up to you for being late." He said sweetly, but for some reason it didn't convince me.
"I should be the one treating you to a meal, after all, you did save my life."
He smiled.
"Well if you want to thank me, have dinner with me Miss Stone." He declares.
I narrowed my eyes, but then gave in.
"Ok fine. But only cuz I'm starving."
