It had been 2 hours. It was dark outside, and the moonlight was reflected off the window. They still didn't have a plan. "Guys, we've been thinking for hours!" Thalia groaned, hanging upside down on the couch in the living room. Hazel was draped over the top of the couch, and Cat sitting on the couch like a normal person, with Hazels tail on her shoulder. "I'm tired!" Cat suppressed a sigh. This had been going on for probably about a half an hour.

"We're all tired, Thalia. But we still don't know what happened to mom and dad." Thalia groaned again. "How are we supposed to find them? Can't we just call the police? We have school tomorrow." Cat looked at her with surprise. "Since when have you cared about missing school?" She asked, confused. "Since never." Thalia answered. "But, I do care about what happened to mom and dad, and the best people to find out what happened are the police." Cat sighed. Thalia was probably right. They were just kids, it wasn't like they could do anything. Plus, Cat was kinda hungry. Normally, they would've had dinner, and been in bed by now.

She got up, and walked towards the kitchen. "Maybe some food will help us think." She opened the fridge, and took out 2 cheese sticks, and the chicken curry that their dad had made for dinner. She heated it up in the microwave, and took it out. The instant she did that, Hazel appeared on the kitchen counter, staring at Cat with puppy dog eyes. Cat rolled her eyes, and dished the curry into 3 separate bowls, then bringing them to the dining table. Thalia was seated there, reading a book while Cat did all the work. typical. Cat brought two spoons to the table so they could eat, while Hazel sat on one of the chairs, lapping up the curry. Cat hoped that eating would get their brains functioning again, and took a huge bite of curry. Their dad made the best chicken curry. Sometimes her and Thalia would help him, drying off the chicken, making the masala. Cat forced the memories out of her head. Thinking about it would only make her worry more, and make her miss them more.

Thalia finished her curry, and burped loudly, on purpose. Cat glared at her, and finished up her curry as quickly as she could, taking her bowl to the sink, and washing it. The sink was full of dishes. Normally mom would've put them in the dish washer by now. Cat returned to the table, and found Hazel sleeping, curled up on the couch. Thalia was sitting next to her, stroking her scales. Cat could tell that she was almost asleep. Even 17 year olds could fall victim to the food coma and plain exhaustion. Cat curled up on the other side of Hazel, and snuggled into her. The dragonet felt like a warm furnace, with heat radiating off her, and next to her, Cat was asleep before her head hit the scales.
