Thalia lead Cat upstairs, and walked towards their bedroom. When they reached the room, Thalia closed the door, after glancing down the hall. She opened her drawer underneath the bunk-bed, and inside it, gleaming a dark amber, was a huge dragon scale. Huge, as in 4 to 5 times the size of one of Hazel's scales. "Thalia...why is there a dragon scale in your drawer?" Thalia rolled her eyes. "Oh, is there? I had no idea. Why d'ya think?" Cat shrugged. "Clueless. I found it in the woods." Cat ohhed. "So...what do we do now?" Thalia sighed. "Lets start with you showing me your friend." "Which friend? I have so many of them." Cat said, grinning. "You have more than one?" Thalia said, in mock surprise. "Your scaly friend, you dimwit."
Cat glared at her. Thalia never called her name when their parents were gone. Her glare faded as that bit of information sunk in. Thalia saw the look on her face, and her voice softened. "Come on kitten. you can introduce me to this dragon of yours. She/He must be something to be able to put up with you." Cat understood what Thalia was trying to do, and she was grateful for it. "I'll have you know, A lot of people happen to find me very interesting." Thalia stood up, brushing her jacket off, and helping her up. "Would those people happen to be the imaginary friends you were talking about?" The two of them walked out the door, still mock insulting each other.
At first, Cat was afraid Hazel and Thalia wouldn't get along. Both of them were fiery, and Cat had always told Hazel to be wary of people. Turned out, she did have something to be worried about, but that wasn't it. The two of them got along spectacularly. They especially had one thing in common that they loved to do. Make fun of Cat. They each took turns insulting Cat, then complimenting each other on their insults. Cat was kind of jealous that they got along so well, but she realized she didn't have anything to worry about. "Guys, I think we should probably..." So, a thought crossed your mind? Hazel said with a grin. It must have been a long and lonely journey. Thalia started to cackle with laughter. "This dragon is comedy gold, Cat! How did you ever find her?!" "Come up with a plan." Cat finished with a sigh. Thalia wiped away a tear. "Sorry, Sorry. We're listening." Cat waited till Thalia had gotten off the floor, and her giggles had subsided, then started to talk.
