Bob had pulled out a map and a ruler, he was sitting at the table ready to finish the map.

"Alright, I'm 3.6 inches, what do you got?" Bob shouted across the house.

"I'm not sure, Mrs. Byers?" Mike yells back.

"Hold on." She said running around the corner with the string in her hand. "21 ft. 4 in."

"What about Tippecanoe to Danford Creek?" Bob asks.

"Danford? Where's Danford?" Joyce asks.

"I got it!" Leah shouts and Joyce throws the rope to her.

"Sixteen ft. 10 in." Leah tells Bob.

"What about Danford to Jordan?"

At this point Leah could tell Joyce was over it. "This has gotta be enough." She muttered.

"It's not. Its really not." Bob says.

"Okay. Can you figure it out?"

"Well, it's hard. The ratio isn't exactly one to one. I mean, if you're twisting my arm, and you are twisting my arm. I would say that the x is..." Bob starts to make lines on the make with his pen. "Maybe a half mile southeast of Danford?"

"Thank you! Thank you." Joyce says kissing his cheek and taking the map with her as she ran out the house.

The kids all ran after her, antsy to find out where Hopper was.

It was pitch black outside as they drove down the road.

"There's nothing. There's nothing here." Leah said annoyed as she looked out the window.

"Are-are we close?" Joyce asks.

"We're in the vicinity."

"What's that mean, the vicinity?" Joyce asks, getting more anxious by the minute.

"It means we're close. I don't know. It's not precise." Bob tries to explain.

"But we did all that work." Joyce says.

Leah starts to tune them out, leaning her head against the window watching the emptiness roll by. She was about o fall asleep, she was so tired, when a terrifying thought entered her head. What if the same thing that took Hopper was like Dart.

In that case Lucas and Dustin would be in trouble. And then the thoughts turned from Lucas and Dustin to just Lucas. Was he hurt? Was he in danger. Was he thinking of her? Was he thinking of her, what the hell?

Of course he wouldn't be thinking of her, she needed to get this idea that he liked her as more than a friend out her head, it would just get her hurt in the end.

"Turn right." Will said out of the blue.

"What?"

"I saw him."

"Where?" Joyce asks.

"Not here. In my now memories."

"In your what?" Bob asked confused, but no one answered him.

"Turn right!"

Joyce did turn right, right into the pumpkin patch. Everyone started to scream as pumpkins hit the windshield one after the other.

The car came to a screeching halt right behind Hopers cop car.

"Are you okay?"

"Super spy." Mike muttered.

Leah was still trying to catch her breath and calm her shaking hands down.

"What's Jim doing here? Joyce?" Bob asks.

"Boys, Leah, I need you to stay here."

"No. Mom, Mom, Mom, it's not safe." Will pleaded.

"That's why I need you to stay here! Stay here!" She said slamming the car door shut.

The three friends sat in silence for a while before Mike spoke up. "Let's get out and look around."

As they approached the hole, Leah scrunched up her nose in disgust.

"Do you see anything? I mean, in your now memories?" Mike asks.

Will shakes his head no just as the roar of an engine breaks the silence.

Whipping around the three look in horror at the white vans from Hawkins Labs rushing towards them.

People in white hazmat suits swarmed the area. Some going down the hole, ready to fight the monster underground.

Mike, Will, and Leah were walking back towards the car when Will suddenly let out a yell as he fell to the ground. Mike and Leah instantly dropping down to his sides.

"Will? Will, you okay?" Mike asks.

"Will, what's wrong?" Leah asks place her hands on his head.

It was when Will flipped over onto his back and started shake and scream that Mike and Leah jumped up and away from him, scared out of their minds.
