The house was a mess compared to when she left it this morning. There were these papers covered in crayon streaming the floor and walls.

Mike and Leah were now in Will's room, Mike pacing while Leah sat next to Will.

"It's like, it's like I can feel what the shadow monsters feeling. See what he's seeing." Will explained.

"Like in the Upside Down?" Leah asks turning to look at the boy next to her.

"Some of him is there. But some of him is here too."

"Here, like in this house?" Mike asks tentatively.

"In this house and, in me. It's like, it's like he's reaching into Hawkins more and more. And the more he spreads, the more connected to him I feel." Will says his voice cracking.

Mike sits on the other side of Will. "And the more you see these now-memories."

"At first I just felt it in the back of my head." Will reaches up to touch his neck. "I didn't even really know it was there. It's like when you have a dream and you can't remember it unless you think really hard. It was like that. And now it's like...now I remember. I remember all the time."

"Maybe. Maybe that's good." Mike tried to reason.

"Good?" Will says.

"Just think about it, Will. You're like a spy now. A super spy. Spying on the shadow monster."

"If you know what he's seeing and feeling." Leah cuts in. "Maybe that's how we can stop him. Maybe all of this is happening for a reason."

"You really think so?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I really do." Leah says, Mike nodding in agreement.

They all tuned to look at the drawing of the horrible creature.

"What if he figures out were spying on him? What if he says back?" Will questions.

"He won't."

"How do you know?"

"We won't let him."

It was now morning and Leah was sitting the living room next to Joyce. She didn't get much sleep and had figured that Joyce wouldn't mind her company.

At the moment she was staring at a particular part of the drawing where the red seemed heavier than the rest.

The sound of footsteps caused her to look around, she figured the boys wouldn't be up for a little while longer.

"Mom." Will said.

But Joyce was to deep in thought.

"Mom." Will repeated.

This time Leah stuck out her hand and gently set it on Joyce's leg.

"Yeah?" Joyce asks, turning around to look at Will.

"I saw him."

"You saw who, baby?" Joyce asks calmly.

"Hopper."

Now Leah was really confused. Did this mean that Hopper was in the Upside Down, how could Will see him?

"I think he's in trouble." Will continued. "I think he's going to die."

Meanwhile with Lucas...

The tall boy fiddled with the video came in the back room waiting for Keith to bring Max to him. He knew that he had to apologize to her and that it would be the right thing to do.
