The light || Lucas Sinclair

Leah awoke as the car jolted through the field. Slowly opening her eyes she looked up to see Lucas.

"Lucas?" Leah said weakly.

Lucas snapped his head down at the sound of the small girls voice.

"Leah! Are you okay?" Lucas asked with a concerned look on his face.

"Yeah, yeah. What's going on?" Leah asked trying to sit up.

Lucas put his hand in her shoulder and gently pushed her back down. "It's okay we're almost there."

"Almost where?" Leah asked but her question was never answered due to some screaming coming from the front seat.

The car came screeching to a halt and the kids began to pile out. Lucas wrapped his arm around Leah's waist and helped her out of the car.

Grabbing a bandanna and pair of googles he then helped her put them on.

"But what do I need them for, Lucas what are we doing?" Leah asked as Lucas gently pulled the goggles over her eyes

"We're helping El." Was all Lucas said, but that was enough for Leah.

Leah followed Lucas and the others over to the hole, looking over her shoulder she noticed Steve having a screaming match with Dustin.

Steve must of gave into whatever they were screaming about because eventually he dropped down into the hole with the rest of the group.

Looking at his map Mike called out. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's this way."

"You're pretty sure, or you're certain?" Dustin called back.

"I'm 100% sure. Just follow me and you'll know." Mike replied.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I don't think so." Steve yelled after the kids.

"What?"

"Any of you little shits die down here, I'm getting the blame. Got it, dipshit?" Steve remarked. "From here on out, I'm leading the way. Come on, let's go. Come on."

Steve took off down one of the tunnels, all the kids trailing in a line behind him.

After walking for a while in silence Max spoke up.

"What is this place?"

No one answered her question for none of them knew an answer.

"Guys, come on. Keep moving." Steve said.

The group continued on until they heard a grunt from Dustin. Turning around the kids ran back to their friend who was rolling on the ground.

"What happened? What happened?" Steve asked pushing through the others to get to Dustin.

"It's in my mouth! Some got in my mouth! Shit!" Dustin screamed before coughing.

They all watched in anticipation as Dustin continued to cough and spit.

Looking up Dustin spoke. "I'm okay."

"You serious?"

"Very funny, man."

Rolling their eyes the group turned around and continued down the tunnel.

"Alright, I think we found your hub." Steve said as he stopped walking.

"Let's drench it."

Going around the group started to spray every inch of ground they could.

"Alright you guys ready?" Steve asked.
