Pick A Side

         Asia tossed and turned in the bed while she held her pounding head. Her head had been hurting for days, but for some reason this morning it had gotten worser. Trying to get herself together because she had morning class and she didn't plan to miss it. As long as she had been in school she hadn't missed one day and she wasn't gonna start now. About five minutes ago she had popped some pain killers and was praying that they would soon start to work. She had a hour in a half to get up and be out the door before she was late, so she was really trying to force herself.
Kane came walking in the bedroom fully dressed and sat down on her side. "Babe do you feel a little bit better?"
She shook her head no and continued to rock back and forth. "Did you take the pills yet?"
"Yes".
He kissed her face and rubbed her back. His gut was telling him to get back undressed and climb back in bed with her for the day, but this was an important meeting he had to tend to with Tommy, Mace and the connect. He could have easily called and had Mace or Tommy handle it, but he wanted to make sure things were straight. Plus he knew he wasn't gonna be long so it wouldn't be that much of a problem, he thought.
"I have to be to school soon Kane" she whispered as she held her hand over her head.
"Nah Asia ya ass ain't going today".
"I have..."
He cut her off "Nah yo... and I'm not fussing with you about this shit. You can't even get out of bed you need some sleep".
She opened her eyes and checked out his appearance. To see him fully dressed burned her piss because she knew in a minute or two he would be walking out that door. " Fine" she said closing her eyes.
Her head was hurting to bad to fuss or debate with him so she let it go and just as she figured he kissed her lips and left out the door. The fact that she felt like he was choosing whatever before her health didn't sit right with her, but that wasn't the case. He really didn't wanna leave his baby alone especially when she needed him the most.
About a hour later the pain had become more and more unbearable to the point her stomach was beginning to hurt also. Asia had never felt this sick before and she had no clue what was going on. She finally forced herself to get up and get dressed and that was the longest ten minutes of her life. In the middle of her dressing, her phone rang.
"Hello" she mumbled in the phone.
"Bitch I'm on my way up to the condo get up and open the door" Shanay said as she walked through the lobby of the condo apartments.

"I'm about to leave".
"And go where?"
"To the hospital...I'm in so much pain bruh".
"Ard well meet me downstairs boo I'll take you, you don't need to drive" Shanay said concerned as she stopped and waited by the elevator.
"Okay" was all Asia said before hanging up the phone. 

       After being checked out and being in the emergency room for what felt like hours the doctor gave her medicine and sent her on her way. She was told that her pregnancy test and other tests came back negative. She was told to get some rest and try to take it easy. The only thing the doctors could tell her was that she was probably under alot of stress and she needed to relax. It was a good thing that when she first got there and the medicine hit her she was able to finally catch some shut eye. While she was sleep Shanay left the room and called Kane who was actually on his way home and had no idea that she was even in the hospital. He sped all the way to the hospital and cursed himself the whole time for leaving her. When he got there and walked up to the front desk, he saw them walking down the hallway. Rushing over her way he noticed off hand that she had an attitude and he was the last person she wanted to see at the moment.
"Babe I'm sorry".
She put her hand up to stop him "Don't worry about it ... I seen what was more important. I'm fine Kane" She told him as she walked away leaving him and Shanay alone.
"What they say was wrong?"he asked Shanay concerned.
"She needs rest Kane. Listen you know she's not use to this lifestyle yet so you have to make shit more clear to her. I know what you have to do when you leave, but she isn't use to this yet. I don't wanna see yall broke up behind this shit".
"We not gonna break up, but imma rap to her" He told Shanay confident in what he said.
Shanay nodded her head as they both headed towards the exit. When they got out front Asia was sitting on the bench, waiting.

She had her head down as she played with her fingers. Shanay and Kane looked at each other and Shanay nodded her head as to say go handle ya business. He took a deep breath and walked over to his girl. He sqwatted down in front of her causing her to instantly look up at him with low, glossy eyes. "Asia you do know that I love you and your important to me, right?"

She bite down at her bottom lip and nodded her head "I'm sorry if you think that I'm choosing shit over you, but that's not the case babe. I just have shit to do for my father's business, but you mean everything to me and I don't want that to come between me and you".
"It's not" she said in a low voice.
"You promise?"
She nodded her head again. "Give me a hug" he told her. She wrapped her arms around his neck as they held each other tightly. Shanay smiled hard because the only thing she wanted to see the most was them get back cool. Instantly her smile faded and guilt rushed over her. Today was her and Tommy's anniversary and they still hadn't made up. She knew what she had to do "Yall two good?"
Kane helped Asia up and nodded his head "Yeah I'mma take her home so she can sleep, you good?"
"Yeah I gotta go home to Tommy" she told him as she hugged them both before walking away to her car. She drove like a bat out of hell to get home just so she could be with her man and tell him how sorry she was. Pulling up in the driveway, she jumped out the car and rushed through the house only to stop dead in her tracks. Right there she wanted to break down and cry at the sight in front her. Their were candles lit everywhere and rose petals all over the floor.
Tommy stood there next to the staircase with a dozen of red roses in his hand and a smile on his face that caused her to melt inside.

"Hey babe....listen I ..." she cut him off as she walked up to him. "Baby no listen to me... I'm so sorry I should have listened to you" she told him as she wiped away a few tears.
"So you believe me now?" Tommy asked with a smile on his face. She grabbed his face and kissed his lips "Yes baby I believe you and I'm sorry".
He dropped the flowers and they started making out as if they hadn't had sex in months. They fucked all downstairs, then upstairs in the Jacuzzi before the both of them retired for the night. She fell asleep safe in his arms, there was no other place she rather be, but here next to the love of her life.

               Kane had slowly stripped Asia completely naked before he picked her up off her feet and leaned her body up against up the wall. He began slowly stroking  her lovebox as she held on to him tightly, letting soft moans escape her mouth. He whispered in her ear as she took in the pain and the pleasure that he was giving to her body. If someone told her months ago that she would have fell deeply in love with a Kingpin's son she would have told them that they was fucking lying. Instead here she was making sweet love with him. The thing about Kane was he took care of ever inch of her body, there was never a rush and fuck. He made sure to please ever inch before he even went up inside her which drove her crazy. The love they had and made couldn't be replaced by nobody and they were both fine with that because they were so crazy in love with each other.
