"Except for mom, you're the first to hear me sing, so here goes... and don't let anyone else hear this, okay?"
Burn the picture that we both contained
Erase the memories that I collected one by one
Stop getting up and going
I know so well
Why do I sit back and stop
The pouring rain
You can't see me one inch ahead
The rushing wind
I can't let you take a single step oh
As if standing on the edge of a cliff
I'm scared and tremblingA loud knock startled me.
I paused the voice recorder and shove it back inside my bag. I said, "Come in" totally forgetting that the person on the other side of the door may or may not understand what I just said.
"Dae Eun-a, it's Sun Shin and Bo Gyo." I hear Sun Shin's muffled voice.
"Ah, yes. Come in!"
The door clicks open, revealing my two friends.
"Dae Eun-a!" Sun Shin rushes in and encloses me in a bear hug. Bo Gyo offers a sympathetic smile and looked worried as well.
"You guys didn't have to come. I was just about to go to class." I tell them, although I was really thankful that they came.
"We won't let you out of our sight again." Sun Shin said, her eyes brimming with tears.
"We feel guilty." Bo Gyo says outloud. "We thought you won't take long talking with Seok Jin sunbae that's why we left you."
"We're really sorry." Sun Shin supplies.
I'm really touched right now.
"It's fine, really."
"You're okay now, right?" Sun Shin asks, still looking tearful.
"I wasn't hurt that much. Just a little." I added, raising my left wrist which was sprained. "But I'm better. Thank you, guys. It means a lot, I swear."
The three of us left the infirmary and went to attend the next class. I missed the first period because the nurse was late to hand me my fit note.
It wasn't because I was badly hurt that I had to visit the clinic. Our adviser talked to me last night after what took place and told me to get myself checked or have something for my shock.
The news of Han Chan Soo's mischief spread like wildfire across the university. No one knew who his victims were, or maybe they didn't care at all. What they were really interested about was the hero of the night.
"It was a good timing that Jungkook was there." Sun Shin said.
"Really good timing." Bo Gyo supplied looking uninterested.
Some of the students speculated that Jungkook was a vigilante. Others think he's a member of a mafia and I can't help but laugh to this.
"Did you know what he did to Chan Soo?" Sun Shin asks aloud, as we walk the pavement to go to class.
She didn't wait for us to reply and went on with her story.
Apparently, Jungkook gave Chan Soo quite a beating. He broke Chan Soo's rib and Chan Soo's parents filed a case of assault against Jungkook. But since Chan Soo have had a history of bad records in the previous years, being the delinquent that he is, the case was rejected. Chan Soo instantly got kicked out of school this morning.
I never liked it when people get into fights or anything that has to do with violence, but I must say that that Chan Soo deserved it. What he did to that poor girl and to me is totally unforgivable, not to mention extremely traumatic. Because of him, I don't think I can walk on my own now especially during the night.
