Chapter 11

Since our final exams for this semester is upon us, I had to be extra studious.

During our free period, Bo Gyo and Sun Shin took our usual spot in the courtyard while I went to the library to look for books that I needed for reference.

"You guys don't need to come," I said when I see them collecting their stuff, ready to follow me. "I'll be quick."

"Just ask the librarian where to look so you won't get lost." Bo Gyo yells after me as I walk towards the building where the library is.

Albeit this wasn't my first time going to the library, that doesn't make it easy for me to find what book I was looking for. I'm so scared to ask the librarian any more directions.

It's been ten minutes of me staring at the piece of paper the strict librarian gave me and the rows of books on this aisle I was in, and I still can't seem to find it. The aisle was a bit narrow. I had to press myself to the shelf, almost kissing its dusty surface when someone passed by. Then out of nowhere, two books hover before my face. They were the ones I was looking for. Of course they weren't floating in the air like in Harry Potter. A hand was holding them and I look over my shoulder only to find myself in a very close proximity with Jungkook.

Eh?

"What are you doing here?" was the first thing that came out of my mouth.

"Am I not allowed to be here?" He replies in monotone and I shushed him because I was scared that the librarian will come and kick us out of this place for being 'too loud'.

I frowned at Jungkook. Why must he always seem like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed? And that I have to be the receiving end of his bad mood?

Without warning, he slowly turns to fully face me making me press my back against the shelves. The narrow aisle was making it hard for me to escape this lunatic in front of me. It was now that I only just noticed he became so much taller. He was towering over my petite self. Then he puts his book-free hand on the shelf, leaning closer to me.

"W-what do you think you're doing?" I stammered in a whisper as he inches near. I eyed him warily.

Bloody hell! Oh, my poor heart! It's about to blow off again.

"Just putting things back to their rightful place." He mutters in a low voice. A ghost of a smirk can be seen on his face as he stares at me.

Damn this guy. He's enjoying it when he intimidates me. I try to shove him away from me but my efforts were in vain.

"I don't know what those cryptic words mean, but could you please move aside?" I whisper-yell to him, trying to ignore the fact that I just touched his rock-hard chest. It felt like he's done a million push ups.

Jungkook puts his hands up in surrender as he straightens, giving me space. He takes a side step and finally leaves me alone.

Ah, that boy is really getting on my nerves.

I look up to realize that Jungkook had put the books quote, 'back to their rightful place', unquote. I rolled my eyes at how foolish I had been. It was on the overhead part of the shelf that's why I couldn't see them. I grab the two books and make my way back to the librarian.

"You! What took you so long?" Sun Shin almost looked like she was about to hit me as she and Bo Gyo greeted me at the door of the library. "We thought something happened to you again!"

"Nothing happened." I replied instantly and I had to avoid Bo Gyo's stare. It appeared as if something flashed in her eyes, like she has just seen through my lie. Unfortunately, she did.
