Chapter 28

They didn't know how long they were standing out there laughing and taking it all in. At one point the pain on AJ's side got to much and she had to lean up against Hawk.

He wrapped his arm around her holding her up. Hawk noticed that when he would touch one part of her side she would wince.

"We should probably try and figure out how to clean up your house." AJ spoke up as she looked over at Sam.

Sam nodded a little as the group started to leave.

Hawk didn't move from where he stood and pulled AJ back to him. She raised an eyebrow looking up at him.

"What's wrong with your side?" He asked her once everyone had left.

"Oh, um, it's nothing." AJ lied "I just hit it against the table and it still kind of hurts."

Hawk knew she was lying but didn't want to push it anymore. He raised his sleeve up and gently wiped her cheek that had the scratch on it.

AJ felt her face start to flush since he had cupped her chin with one of his hands.

"We still need to talk." She whispered softly as she stared up at him.

Hawk nodded "We can worry about that later, right now I'm just glad you're okay."

He moved her hair out of her face and gently kissed her forehead.

AJ smiled "You do care, how sweet Mohawk."

Hawk rolled his eyes and chuckled as the two of them walked back to the house.

The house itself was a mess. Glass was everywhere, broken furniture was in almost every room, there was even some blood on the floor. All of the Cobra Kai's had left already and it was just the members of the combined dojo left.

Miguel received a call from his mom five minutes after everyone started to clean. He said goodbye to everyone before rushing home to his mom.

AJ was busy walking around the kitchen looking at the broken glass on the ground. She grabbed a paper towel and wet it before holding it up to her face. AJ froze when she saw that someone had set the baseball bat down next to the counter.

She could still feel the pain of when it first hit her side. And of course the look on Sawyers face when she hit her again with it.

"AJ?" Demetri spoke up next to the girl.

"I'm fine!" AJ snapped at him before moving out of the kitchen quickly.

Demetri watched her leave with a confused expression, "Not what I was going to ask but okay."

AJ went to the bathroom and shut the door quickly locking it. She turned to look in the mirror and gasped when she finally saw her face.

A large cut leading from just under her brown eye down to her lip was now her most notable feature. The cut was rough and jagged and it was obvious it would scar. In some parts the cut was still bleeding, but luckily she still had the paper towel in her hand. AJ wiped the remaining blood away from the cut.

AJ bit her lip as she stared at the large gash on her face. She didn't know what she was going to do with it. Usually the only thing that she had to worry about when she met new people were her eyes. But now she was going to have a large scar on one side of her face. She played with one of her rings and wished that it was the snake ring.
