chapter 5

Izuku POV

It had already been 2 hours, since I left Mei's house, carrying a few handy pieces of support gear. He really appreciates the effort Mei puts into her work, and is super satisfied with the new items.

First, he got quirk cancelling cuffs with sleeping gas, wich came in handy if you wanted to capture someone with a quirk such as being a half wolf. If the cuffs can't cancel the quirk, the sleeping gass will be enough to keep them out until police arrives.

Second, he got foldable knifes. These knifes were able to hold liquid inside them, such as poison, sleep serum, serum that causes nausea... and they could also shoot electricity. And folded up, they aren't much bigger than a scissor was. (For the record, unfolded they were 1.5 feet)

Lastly, he got a choker, that made his face look like someone else's. So if he had it in, no one would suspect him to be the vigilante.

He did the choker around his neck, and put on his vigilante gear. Than, he jumped out of the window, ready for a late-night patrol.

Aizawa POV

Detective Tsukauchi gathered a meeting about Green Kitsune, saying they had information. Of course, I was invited aswell.

When everyone arrived, Tsukauchi spoke up.

''So, as you all probably already know, the vigilante Green Kitsune has been bringing us problems for 2 years now. In those 2 years, no one has ever seen his face. However, when Present Mic was on a secret mission in the west-part of Musutafu, he found something out. Mic, would you explain to them?''

Mic nodded and stood up, his whole posture serious. It must be something important, then. He is never this serious.

''Well, I was on the mission about a certain pizzeria there, 'cause it seems Green Kitsune has a soft spot for it. I was there on the lookout for any possible candidates for the real identity of the vigilante. When I was there, a young boy with green hair and eyes, pale skin and freckels came towards me. He seemed to be an worker there.''

''And what has that to do with Green Kitsune?! Just tell us the information, for God's sake!'' 

I sigh. of course, Endeavor doesn't have the patience to wait.

''Yeah, yeah. Chill dude!'' Is 'Zashi's calm reply. ''Anyway, he seemed to have figured out I was on a undercover mission as soon as I stepped into the shop. Just because my hair was down, my agency at the other side of town, and the pizzeria being a tiny shop nobody but the locals notices! So, he asks me about some little pizzeria, to get his suspicions confirmed. So reversed, that made me suspicious.''

He took a deep breathe, before handing out the kid's files. ''Here, take a look at this.''

We all look into the files, and what I see shockes me. Izuku Midoriya, currently 11 years old. His mother left him after they went to the quirkdoctor, who confirmed he was quirkless. This only made red flags rise in my head. As I read further into it, I feel my eyes widen without my consent. He was disowned when he was eight!? How could any father do that to his own child?

Well, yours may have done it if you didn't get into the hero course.

Ugh, shut up! This isn't about me! This is about the child!

I shake my head, and read further. So apparently, his dad moved with his mother after a little while. I don't think the kid is still with them though. But we can't know for sure, since there seemed to be no file with his name on it after the age of 8. This is disturbing, to say the least. But I do wanna know why we are looking into the files of this kid.

''So, apart from the fact that his life was probably horrible, why are we looking into his files? Weren't we talking about Green Kitsune?''

I see others nod their heads at my question, all of them as confused as I am.

''Well, you see...'' 'Zashi stops, as if he didn't really want to say whatever he was going to say. ''I think he is Green Kitsune...''

As soon as he said that, chaos broke loose.

''What do you mean, he is Green Kitsune! I want an explanation now!'' Endeavor

"But, he's so young! Shouldn't he still be all innocent and all?'' Mt. Lady

''I see, interesting... I would like to meet the young man.'' Principal Nezu

"Could you please tell us why you think this little baby bird is Green Kitsune?'' Hawks

''Could you all please shut up! I'm working on something!'' Power Loader

''I say we rescue young Midoriya from whatever caused him to become a vigilante!'' All Might

Jeez, I feel like I'm taking care of little children...

I activate my quirk, pull out my scarf, and say: ''Please sit down and ask your questions in a fashionable order! I'm getting a headache over here.''

As I see they all sat down again, I sigh and drop back into my seat too. 'Zashi sents me an thankfull glance, and speaks up again.

''So you, how I think to know that he is the vigilante? I got my eyes on a few suspicious looking workers in the pizzeria, and decided to uhm stalk them?'' The last part being said in an awkward fashion.

''Anyways, I saw him head inside a normal looking flat, and stayed a little longer, just to make sure. Just when I was planning on going back, he emerged from the door, a few strange looking pieces of technology in his hands. I followed him all the way to Dagobah beach, where he seemed to have made a home for himself. He walked in, and after a good 2 hours of waiting, someone dressed like Green Kitsune sneeks from the back door. So yeah, I have all the reason to believe he is Green Kitsune, or has at least a connection with him.''

Everyone is visibly taken back by his words, and an thick silence fills the room, as everyone present thinks about this. It's a whole difference with the chaos just a few minutes ago, but somehow much more unsettling. Finally, Tsukauchi speaks up again.

''Wel, now that that's taken care of, we should make a plan to confirm this theory, and figure out a  plan of action.''

The following one-and-a-half hours are spend making differend plans for each situation, and discussing our roles in it. When we're finally done, the sun is already setting, litting the world in a flame like orange-red.

As Hizashi and I are heading back home, both lost in our thoughts, I can't help but wonder what this kid has been through, to make him lose hope on the hero system so bad that he took the lead and became a vigilante.

Without me realizing, we were already standing in front of the door of our shared appartment.

''Hey, go and get some rest, okay? I'll patrol for you tonight.'' My husbands worried voices shakes me from the thoughts circling in my head.

''Alright, be safe.'' Is all I say before walking in. ''Love you, 'Zashi.'' ''Love you too, Sho.''

Okay, so I can't believe that people actually noticed this story, but I'm very gratefull for them. Also, I think everyone agrees that online school is like super boring, so don't blame me for the fact that I'm doing this doing Latin class. :)

Okay, I'm bored so Imma just publish this chapter, even though I'm not working on chapter 6 just yet. Doesn't matter though. Y'all can actually just ignore everything I said, I'm just saying some random stuff so ye.
