Please pretend that Todoroki is Shinsou😅

Izuku POV

------------------------

We walk towards an unused field, and both stretch a bit. I'm very curious to see if Shinsou has had any improvements or not.

After all, the last time we sparred was quite some time ago.

When we both are done stretching, we get into position.

''Ready, let's begin!''

Just as I say this, Shinsou dashes forwards and tries to uppercut me. I jump a little backwards to avoid getting hit, and then go for a counterattack. Since we agreed not to use our quirks, I simply let myself fall onto the ground, then pushing myself upwards using my arms, and with my legs stretched outwards. Most people don't expect such a move, which makes it almost always a direct win for me. But of course Shinsou has already seen this technique, making it some less effective.

That doesn't take away any of my strength and control though, so when Shinsou steps backwards, I just place my hands a little more behind me, changing the range of my legs. Thus I still get him a little.

Shinsou stumbles a bit, and I directly take advantage of that by getting up and kicking him down.

But Shinsou seems to have foreseen this move, so he is clearly prepared when he hits the ground. He proves this by immediately placing his hands behind him and jumping up again, driving me in the defensive with a quick arm-fist combo.

I block it, but he suddenly switches to a kick with his left leg, which surprises me. He hits me, and I am send flying. I turn around in mid-air, and land while rolling over to break the fall.

I then run towards Shinsou in full speed, and when he jumps up to evade my yet to come punch, I let myself slide underneath him, catching his ankles with my hands, and pulling him down so that his head hits the ground.

Shinsou bounces back up a bit from the force of the attack, and then stays down. I ask him if he's defeated just to be sure, (sometimes you are defeated without you being unable to move, for example when you are exhausted or don't have the strength/stamina anymore) and when that is certified, I pull him back on his feet again.

We both pant a bit, and look each other with a smirk in the eyes when we straighten up again.

''Still go down with the same move, huh?''

''Your stamina sure got a lot worse, Izu!''

We both laugh, and are still laughing when Tsukauchi walks up to us with the news that Akaao, the one with the Memory casting quirk, has arrived.

This gets us to become serious again, and we walk inside with a serious silence between us. I'm guessing Shinsou is a bit nervous, seeing as he is playing with his shirt again, like every other time that he is nervous.

I send a quick smile his way, even though I'm still not sure whether Shinsou betrayed me or not. Because I know (at least I think I do) Shinsou, and he wouldn't do such a thing if there was another choice available. And maybe he isn't even guilty in the first place, so I can't go around making assumptions.

After all, assumptions are only used to label someone, and they are mostly based on appearance and coincidence. It's no good to label someone, and surely those assumptions have a high percentage of being wrong. As so, I don't trust first impressions either.

But seriously, don't go around making assumptions about someone, 'kay? First get to know them, and then judge them based on their personality. That way everyone is treated fairly! :)

We walk into the room where Akaao is already waiting for us. She is a tall woman with salmon pink hair that reaches up to her shoulders, and bright blue eyes- wait a second... Salmon hair and blue eyes..?

''Miss Hatsume?!''

Akaao's eyes widen as I say that. We met before, since I am friends with her daughter, Mei. But I didn't expect her to be in town at all. Shouldn't she be on a business-trip? And why does she have connections with the police?

''You guys know each other? Since when?''

Tsukauchi's question brings me back to the outside world, and I glance at Hatsume-san before answering: ''We encountered each other quite a while ago. It wasn't anything important, though.'' I wouldn't want to bring Mei into this trouble, so I don't mention her. And since Hatsume-san is informed about me being a vigilante by now, she gets what I'm doing, and plays along.

''Yeah, he has a friend who knows me, and I coincidentally arrived just as he was about to leave. After that, we had some small talk.''

I internally smile. This was technically the truth, since I really was just about to leave when Hatsume-san came home, spotting me with her daughter. But the way she just said it, it sounds like we just both know the same friend. I don't think Tsukauchi will come to realize that Hatsume-san meant her daughter when she said that the person knows her.

Tsukauchi sighed. ''Well, all right then. Let's just start already.''

The rest of us three nod, and Shinsou goes to sit down on a chair while Akaao sits down in front of him, grabbing his hand.

''Ready? 3...2...1... I'm starting!''

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okaay, I'm really sorry for not updating for so long. (But at least here's an update, I guess..?)

And no, I'm not sorry for all the cliffhangers!

So just to make things a bit clear, Mei was mentioned earlier in the story, and there I wrote that her parents were constantly on business-trips. I did that on purpose. And the fact that Mei's mother is here is also purposely done. (btw, do any of you guys know what her actual name is? I can't seem to find it on the internet) So if you want to know why she is friends with Tsukauchi and why she is in town, I suggest you read the next update!

Also, do any of you remember the strange man in chapter 13?
