Izuku POV
----------------------
That Shinsou boy most definitly got abused at home, but by the way his shoulders tensed up every time I mentioned me helping him, I'm guessing they have a way to spy on him, and punish him if he says anything.
Well, I'll just be very cautious then!
We arrive at his home, and he looks me nervous in the eyes before knocking on the door. He is obviously scared out of his mind, but for his sake I act like I don't notice.
Then the door opens to reveal a grumpy man with the exact same purple hair and lilac eyes, even though his ones are ice-cold, very unlike Shinsou's warm ones. They pin Shinsou down right were he is standing, and he flinches under the freezing stare. Suddenly I feel a wave of protectiveness overflow me, and I want to go stand in between the two to protect Shinsou from the glare.
What is wrong with me? I know I shouldn't do that!? It'll just get him in more trouble!
''O, Hitoshi, there you are! We were starting to think you wanted to run away from home or something. It really worried us, you know?''
Yeah, sure. As if they'd worry about his health. I bet they were just scared he'd go to the police! It's also painfully obvious that they're acting. Do they really think that is the tone you use when you're worried? Stupid.
I look back at Shinsou, and shoot a smile at him. It isn't a real one, but it has to do. At the look in his eyes I can see he saw right through it, though. ''I'm guessing that this is your father. You can handle it by yourself from here, am I right?''
He just nods and looks back at his father.
''Wel, bye Hito! See you at school tomorrow! And don't forget to bring those photo's for the Anti-abuse project, alright? We can just meet at the school's backyard before classes start! See you then!''
I really hope he gets the clue. If he showed up before school starts, and let me make photo's of the abuse, that would be a great help. And I also hope that his father now no longer suspect me to be a spy or something.
I walk back home, and as I am just a few blocks away from the beach where I live, I feel a pressence behind me. I continue walking in the same relaxed manner, but walked down a road towards a nearby café named Seigyoku (A.N. This actually means sapphire or jacinth in japanese. I think you'll get why I chose this name soon.) and walk in. It has always been my favourite café, as it's name honored the café's origins:
The story is that the one who established Seigyoku had two very unique eyes. One in the color of a sapphire, and one in the color of a jacinth. Due to her blue and orange colored eyes, she got bullied. But she didn't break. She continued chasing her dream of establishing a café with a library in it, and eventually did it. And since Seigyoku meant both sapphire as well as jacinth, she chose it to let others know that you can get through anything, as long as you have the desire to.
I love the moral in it, as I had experienced the worst side of the world at the young age of 4.
I walk in through the entrance, and buy a cup of coffee latte. Not long after, I feel the pressence disappear.
It could've just been a stranger walking the same way I did.
But just to be sure, I walk out through the backdoor, and take a shortcut to the beach.
