chapter 20

Shinsou POV

''Izu.. you got your emotions back..?''

Izuku looks at me, still wary of whatever it is that makes him wary of me (A.B. Does that sentence even make sence...-), but ultimately just nods with a small smile.

I smile widely, and forgetting that he doesn't trust me and still not in a good condition, I lunge forwards to hug him.

At that action, Izuku jerks backwards, and I miss his body, wich causes me to fall forward. I fall right on my face, and everyone, even Izu, laughs. It's good to hear him laugh, it sounds just like when we were playing on his bed, the sound of tinkling bells playing a symphony of charm.

The rest of the ride is a bit more relaxed, and even though there is still quite the amount of tension in the air, everyone talks freely, and soon we are at the police station.

Everyone steps out, and most of us walk in right away. I stay behind to wait a bit for Izuku, who is saying goodbye to Chimaru (the medic), since he isn't coming with us. When Izu catches up, we both start speed-walking towards the rest.

The interrogation starts as soon as we arrive. We get a lot of questions fired at us, -well, mainly at Izu...- and it's goddamn hard to concentrate when Eraserhead and All Might are standing just next to us, giving their respective reports about the invasion, and a whole bunch of villains is giving you death stares through the glass, but we manage.

Izuku POV

''So, I'll just begin with all the serious questions, I guess.'' Tsukauchi says.

I'm glad he does that, because it's hella annoying how most detectives and interrogators just keep avoiding the actual case. So I rip my attention off of the weird villain who is talking to himself the whole time, and listen to Tsukauchi's question.

''Why do you think they targeted you?''

''They targeted me for multiple reasons. My 'parents' just wanted me back, but the rest of the league were out for information on All Might's current health and condition. They also may have wanted to either make me a nomu or take my quirk, but I'm not sure about that. If they would have wanted my quirk, they would've taken it at the beginning... and they gave me back my emotions purely so that they could torture me, so making me a nomu isn't really logical... and they only asked for information on mighty (One of Izu's 'nicknames' for All Might), so they don't actually have anything to do with me other than Inko and Hisashi... but how did they figure out that I have such information-''

Shinsou puts a hand on my shoulder, and I stop talking to immediately pull my shoulder away. I guess the torture put a bit of a strain on my mental health... I hope I don't have PTSD or something... 

Shinsou probably noticed my response to physical contact, and pulls away his arm. ''You were muttering again...''

''Yeah, I noticed..''

I then look at Tsukauchi, who has a face that shows extreme error. This is the first time he's heard me muttering then, I suppose.

When he regains his composure, he quickly writes down whatever he managed to process. Then, he continues with his second question.

''How do you think they got to you?''

I think for a second, and, making sure I don't start muttering again, begin on an answer.

''I'm not quite sure about that. I know that Yuki and Sutaraito -are those even their real names- actually worked for the LOV this entire time, and they are the ones that invited Handymans to come kidnap me, but I don't know how they got recommended by the police. I don't have enough information to figure that out yet... So if you want a solid answer on that, you'll have to give me entrance to some of your files.''

Tsukauchi immediately shakes his head. ''No can do, we can't trust you yet. Who says that you won't touch files your not supposed to look into?''

I raise my eyebrow. Does he seriously think I can't look into those files on my own? How the heck does he think I survived so long as a vigilante? That dumbass...

''You know, I could get past all your firewalls in a minute. Really, I'm only offering help because I escaped because of you, and I know that you wouldn't solve it on your own. Be happy you get this chance!''

Tsukauchi looks at me with unbelieving eyes. ''Do you really think you can get past our firewalls?'' He makes a motion towards one of the computers. ''Why don't you try?''

Of course he doesn't know, but I already broke through so many times... I'm pretty sure that once I get through the code they always change once in a week, I can solve the rest with my eyes shut tight...

I walk towards the computer, and press in the usual code for all the computers. Once I get through the first firewall, I quickly disable all the rest, up until I get to the last one.

This one is a bit more tricky, since they change it each week. But I also figure this one out fairly quickly.

Once the computer is fully unlocked, I turn back towards Tsukauchi, who is... staring at the screen of the computer, I think......

Shinsou laughs while poking Tsukauchi's shoulder. ''This is the 2nd time you've broken him today. I don't think he is ready for more of this. You should just answer the questions, and do nothing else..''

I look at Tsukauchi, and giggle when seeing his dumbfound face.

We stay at the police station all day. Shinsou goes home once the detective is done with his questions, but Tsukauchi still isn't done with me.

''So, now that Shinsou is gone, we can get to the real deal. We have a few questions concerning the whole Green Kitsune case. I'll get right into it, I guess.''

Tsukauchi pauses and looks me dead in the eyes.

''So, we already have a good guess, but why did you become a vigilante?''

Hello again! So sorry about the slow updates, but you know why already, and my little sister's birthday is coming up soon too, so...

BUT anyways, hope you enjoyed the chapter!

And also, as I think this chapter might be a bit confusing, because Izuku was already captured once. Why would they have to do the interrogation again?

Well, the first time Izuku was captured, he didn't really say anything about his background, other than what the police already knew. But since he's now in debt by the police forces, and they trust each other a bit more, there is more chance for the police to get their unanswered questions answered.

So, basically, they want to get a second shot at information, since the first time was failure. And of course, Izuku now has valuable information about the league of villains, so that counts too.

I'll do the Shinsou - Izuku arc in the next chapter. Don't you want to know what happens?
