Loki was walking the halls of the tower, completely bored out of his mind. He wanted to do something. Go somewhere. See what Midgard truly had to offer, but instead he was stuck, here, in Avengers tower. He had read all the books that had interested him. But he couldn't find any satisfaction from it.
That is until he saw Elliara decked out on the sofa of the Avengers main living room. She had been watching the television. Apparently she'd been watching 'The Hobbit'.
Perhaps that was the solution to Loki's boredom. The television.
He sat on the opposite side of her. Careful not to wake her.
He took the remote and jabbed at the buttons trying to figure out how it worked.
FRIDAY spoke up, "Sir, might I recommend you use the voice activation feature? Instead of beating the poor remote..."
The AI had sass that was for sure.
"Just make it play!" He accidentally shouted.
Elliara woke up quietly. And watched the interaction. She couldn't keep herself from laughing once she realized what was going on.
Loki, startled, had turned to look at her in surprise. Like a deer caught in the headlights.
She continued laughing and Loki began to grow annoyed.
"Oh shut it, you mewling quim!" He growled.
"Haha you're absolutely oblivious! Hasn't anyone taught you to use modern appliances?" She slowly stopped laughing.
"No. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to learn!" He said stubbornly pressing buttons.
"How about I teach you, yeah?"
"I don't need your help. I can do it myself!" He grumbled.
The Tv turned staticky.
"Right..." She said stretching the word. "Here let me help. I promise not to make fun of you." She held out her hand for the remote.
Loki sighed in reluctance and gave it to her. She moved to sit beside him. And showed him what each button did.
"Okay so you see this button here? The one at the top right corner? The red one?"
He nodded.
"That is the power button. It turns the Tv on and off. The buttons here under the power button, are different stream services. They have all kinds of things for you to watch. Netflix. Hulu. Amazon Prime. Xumo. Vudu. And so on. The button under those on the right is the menu button. So your home screen. The one on the left is your exit button. It's the button that will leave whatever streaming service you're using. The button below those are your arrow buttons. They help you navigate the home screen and any others you may use. The middle button... the one in between the arrows is the button you press select for. Got it so far?"
