-Back at the tower-
I walked in to find everyone gone.
"Hello Friday?" I rode up in the elevator. And stepped out.
"Yes?"
"Where is everyone?" I looked around and paced a couple of times.
"They are on a mission." She said
"Is anyone here?" I made my way to the living area.
"Yes Mister Laufeyson and Mister Barnes are here."
"Where are they?" I said going to the kitchen and grabbing a bag of chips.
"Mr Laufeyson and Mr. Barnes or the Avengers?" She Asked.
"Both?" I shrugged, popping a chip in my mouth.
"Mr. Barnes is currently in the Gym having a go at the punching bags and Mr Laufeyson is in the library currently reading Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets."
"And the others?"
"That is classified information."
"Can you at least tell me what country or city?!"
"New York Miss."
"Oh okay. Very well." I said plopping on the sofa.
"Would you like me to notify Mr. Barnes and Mr. Laufeyson that you require their presence?"
"No... well maybe Loki..."
I waited a couple of minutes and Friday finally responded.
"I regret to inform you that Mr. Laufeyson has declined your company."
What?! Why that little no good snake of a puny god! How dare he? I thought we were getting along just fine?! I placed my chips on the coffee table and used my speed to get to the library.
I marched in with a No Bullshit attitude.
"LOKI?!!!!"
I hear him sigh.
"Oh look here she comes now. The ever so ubiquitous and thoughtful Elliara!" He said in a mocking tone.
"What is your problem Loki?"
"You."
"Me?! What have I done?"
"It's what you haven't done!"
"Oh like that helps! Tell me what's wrong Loki! Talk to me!"
"You!"
I rolled my eyes and huffed. "We've established that."
"Why don't you go back to where ever you just came from?!" He yelled at me.
"No! You WILL tell me why your being such a dolt!"
"Me? The dolt?! You! Your the cruel one! You're the one who left me alone with these mewling quims!"
"I wasn't even gone that long!"
"It doesn't matter! You didn't even tell me you were leaving!"
"Yeah well I didn't realize I had to report to you!" I said walking up to him and pushing him backwards.
He came back towards me, and towered over me looking menacing.
"I never said you did."
"Then why are you acting this way?!"
"You left without me! You left without anyone else! You could have gotten HURT!"
"It's not like you care! And besides I can take care of myself! Or have you forgotten?! I'm a fucking Vampire!" I yelled at him. Pushing him again but this time he didn't budge.
Instead he turned his back to me, facing the window. I heard him sigh as he dropped his head and looked down.
"That's the thing. I do care." He turned back to me. And looked into my eyes and whispered, "I care too much..."
My heart melted. He was only angry at me for supposedly being reckless. I'm not saying he's right, but the fact that he was just worried about me....
Within a second, I had my arms wrapped around his torso in a hug. He tensed but slowly relaxed, wrapping his arms around me and putting his head on top of mine.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you..." he spoke softly.
"It's alright. I understand." I removed myself from him and stepped back a bit. To give us some space.
"I'm not used to this... this kind of intimacy. The only other person I've ever held like this was my mother..."
"Is she?..."
"Dead? No... but I haven't seen her in such a long time..."
"Then why don't you visit her?"
"It's not that simple... I've been banished from Asgard until I've proven myself worthy of trust, and properly redeemed myself." He said with a sigh.
"Oh... well maybe she could come here?"
He chuckled at my suggestion. I looked at him confused.
"It's not that simple, she's the queen of Asgard. She can not simply leave..."
"Oh I'm sorry. I was just throwing ideas out there..."
"I know... can I hug you again?" He said looking hopeful.
"Of course. You don't even need to ask." I said wrapping my arms around him once more.
Neither of us noticed the Stark drone outside the window of the library.
Stark chuckled, the rest of the avengers surrounding him, looking at the screen.
Some gave "aww's" while others chuckled.
"And some say ignorance is bliss. Hah!" Tony scoffed. "I say Ignorance is a hinderance."
