Chapter 5: Powerful

After I showered and changed, Bucky and I hang out in the living room for 2 hours. When Steves's voice came over the intercom,

"Avengers, meet at the jet in 5. Hydra has stolen information from S.H.I.E.L.D, we must retrieve it from one of their bases. Suit up."

Bucky and I got up, as we did, Loki left his room and walked into the living room, we all got onto the elevator together. Silence. It was super awkward.

When the elevator doors opened, the three of us stepped out of the elevator. All of the avengers stopped mid-conversation to look at us.

I hated having so much attention on me, I lift my finger behind my back, causing a glass on the other side of the room to fall and shatter.

Everyone heads shot to the sound of breaking glass.

"Nice," Bucky said quietly in my ear, causing me to smile.

My eyes met Lokis and he gave me a confused look.

We all piled into the jet.

We all flew for a bit conversation flowing among everyone when Clint asks Tony,

"Why is y/n coming?"

He turned to me, "No offense, but you haven't told us what you can do yet..."

Tony spoke up, "Oh you'll see..." He winked at me, I gave him a nod, message received.

Everyone sent a questioning look to each other.

We flew for a bit longer before we began to land.

We landed in a heavily wooded area.

"Okay, the hydra base is a few miles south of here. We stick together until we are in the base." Tony said.

Everyone got off the jet.

Bruce shouted from the jet, "Let me know if it's a code green!"

We walked for a few miles before stumbling across the base. It was a medium-sized cement building.

"Y/n, lead us in." Said, Tony

"Tony, is that a good idea?" Natasha spoke up.

"Just watch." As Tony said motioning me to walk in first.

We busted open the front doors, seeing about 15 heavily armed hydra agents turn to us, guns drawn.

The team was about to run into the fight, but Tony held his arm out in front of them, motioning for them to wait.

I stepped forward towards the Hydra agents.

The hydra agents all looked at each other in confusion, I might have even heard a few laughs.

I looked at the team over my shoulder, turning back to the agents.

I flicked my wrist, causing a storm cloud to form over the agents, raining on them.

With another flick of my wrist, lightning struck an agent, making him fall to the ground.

The hydra agents looked at each other, then back at me. Some running at me, some firing their guns.

Waving my hand, the bullets meant for me blew into the cement wall to the left of us.

Closing my hand into a fist in the direction of all of the agents, the floor beneath them froze, freezing them all in place by their feet.

Waving my hand again, all of the agents broke from the ice and flew into the cement wall to the left. They all fell from the air after hitting the wall, all knocked unconscious on the floor.

I turned back towards the avengers, whose mouths were all wide open, only Tony, Bucky and even Loki all had smiles on their faces. Tony gave me a nod of approval.

I gave them all a 'did you see that?" head tilt. As I turned around and proceeded across the room, leaving the avengers still trying to process what they had just witnessed.

Bucky gave Steve a hard tap on the shoulder before following me.

"THAT WAS INSANE? We all agree that was crazy right?" Peter Parker said.

Once the team registered what had happened, we all got to work looking for the drive Hydra stole.

"FOUND IT," Natasha said, holding up a flash drive in her hand.

"Great, let's destroy all of the computers and hard drives and get out of here," Steve said.

All of the avengers were about to strike the equipment, but I flicked my wrist and all of the equipment went up in flames.

The team turned to look at me, Nat even gave me an impressed nod.

"Nice!" Clint shouted, and gave me a high five.

We all went back to the jet and piled in.

"Back already?" Bruce said.

Everyone just sat down, trying to figure out how to explain what just happened. When Thor, who had been oddly silent the entire time, shouted.

"YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT! Lady y/n took out like 15 hydra agents with a flick of the wrist! She struck one with lightning and set all of the equipment on fire."

He turned to me, "You can control lightning, I am the God of Thunder, You amazing me!"

At this point, Thor picked me up by my hips and swung me around, like I weighed 10 pounds.

"Put the lady down brother!"

Thor stopped spinning me around and put me down, I laughed. We turned to look at Loki, who was now standing. Everyone's eyes on him, he rubbed the back of his neck, seemingly embarrassed.

"I mean, she is obviously very powerful! You shouldn't be swinging a powerful creature like y/n around like a rag doll." He tried to play it off, but Loki was definitely jealous.

My eyes turned back to Thor, whose hands were still in my waist, we were only a few inches from each other. He was a lot taller than me.

Thor now somewhat embarrassed, released me from his grip, taking my hand in his. He kissed the knucks on my hand, "It is a pleasure to work with you Lady y/n"

I blushed. But I caught a glimpse of the male avengers glaring at Thor.
