"Bites and stings can easily be healed, but suffocation is not so simple." Madam Pomfrey hurried around the room filling box of equipment they will need for tomorrows task. Moon's neck snapped to the rushing women to make she heard her right.
"Suffocation. My cousin is in that task. First, he got almost burn to death and now he's going to suffocate." She halted her sorting of equipment and peered down at her lap, not knowing exactly what to do. Harry had no idea what the task was and he was still far from finding out. Moon had tried to stay up last night in the library to find something, anything that could help them. However, she fell asleep before she had the chance.
"No one going to suffocate we just have to prepare. Now stop worrying, you have a tendency to do so. This is his problem. Go have lunch before there's nothing left." Moon went to argue, healing was a good way for her to forget about the stresses weighing her down, it was a distraction; to forget about death eaters, Harry stupid task and exam. "No buts. Go or I'll fire you." Mackenzie shut her mouth rapidly, she wanted this. Packing up her stuff she left the hospital wing, heading to the Great hall; hoping that Harry was there so she wouldn't have to walk around like a headless chicken to find him.
Through her journey was soon interrupted by the infamous Malfoy and his minions, they stalked up behind her peering down. She kept her composure and acted as if the weren't even there.
"Nightshade, where your little gang, finally left you after seeing how much of a blood traitor you are?" Lazily she spun around facing the annoying Slytherins unfazed by his comments.
"Do you ever get tired of being an asshole? You have a lifetime to be one, take one day off."
"You're just a scared little brat that no one loves whose worthless, not even her own cous-"
"Leave her alone." Neville appeared out of nowhere approaching the four of them, he had the bravest look he could muster on his face. He stood next to Moon who looked up at him in awe. He was standing up to his bullies for her.
"Got yourself a girlfriend, Longbottom?" Malfoy mocked, sniggering to the buff heads behind him. The glare returned back on his face when he faced the duo again; though their creation was not what he expected.
"Yeah, and do you have one?" Moon's heart jumped at Neville's words, she rejoiced every moment she spent with the boy. Her brain went fuzzy for a millisecond before it completely cleared, she could only focus on Neville's word, repeating time and time again in her head. She tried to look down to hide the blush rising up her face.
"Don't you dare speak to you f-"
"Don't you bloody say it Malfoy" Now it was Mackenzie's turn to stand up for Neville, she held a stern look staring down Goyle and Crabbe who were attempting to look fierce.
"Oh shut your mouth, I can say what I want."
"Happily when you learn to shut your's." Having enough of Malfoy horrible taunting, Mackenzie removed her wand from her pocket pointing it at the three of them. She gestured for the young Gryffindor to retrieve his, which he hauled out moments later. Malfoy and his gang's faces filled with despair, realising it was a battle they couldn't win the scampered off yelling behind them
"Don't think this isn't the end."
"Oh, I'm counting on it."

"Merman, they're mermen," Harry shouted as he rushed into the great hall, his yelling caught the crowds of students eating their lunch attention. Moon peered up from her issue of the daily prophet unimpressed, Harry strode up to her his hair soaked and his clothes put on in a rush.
