MACKENZIE and 'Dumblydor' stood at the front of a small block house west of Yorkshire. The building had a homely feel about it. The outdated drapes swayed in the window as the top layer of the house were all open. An old, scrached plate with the number 15 on it resided near the aged antique door, that held up an ancient door knocker. It stood precisely in line with the surrounding buildings, all of the same design, not a single brick out of place.

After saying goodbye to her friends, she unwillingly departed by portkey to Yorkshire with Professor Dumblydor. She wasn't a fan of using portkeys, much preferring to ride the Knight Bus. Mackenzie had to admit England was very different from France. It was way colder, less colourful than Colmar and way more populated. There were many places she's always wanted to visit. The ex-Beauxbaton student was anxious to meet her godfather, Remus Lupin. He would be looking after her when she wasn't at Hogwarts. The young French girl had never known many adults apart from her aunt and the teachers at Beauxbatons. Even then her aunt was absent for half of her life. She hoped to finally be able to talk to a parental figure, though she kept her hopes low that was her one rule.

'Dumblydor' knocked on the paint-chipped door. As she clambered up the steps behind him. A man with dusty brown hair answered the door. His pale face held scars; he had a dishevelled moustache and short brown beard. He wore an out of date jumper. The man's blue eyes landed on the Headmaster a smile appeared on his face.

"Professor!" Lupin exclaimed, his English accent sounded odd to Mackenzie she's only ever heard people speak English with a French tongue. Dumbledore chuckled at the man's acknowledgment.

"How many times have I told you to call me Albus?" They shook hands and Remus' eyes found Mackenzie. She reminded him deeply of her late father. Her hair was honey blonde and even the strange one green eye and one blue. She held herself up with fake confidence; it was scary to Remus to see how easily she could hide her nerves. Dumbledore had given him a warning about her upbringing, he felt even more guilty not being there for her.

"Je sui-I mean, I am Mackenzie but you can call me Moon." The girl introduced, Remus froze for a miller second; Henry had given her that nickname, after finding out about Lupin's wolfy problem Henry had joked about his kid being a mini Moony. Overwhelmed by the reminder of his late friend he pulled Moon into a hug which took her by surprise she didn't get hugged often only her friends hugged her on rare occasions, but this felt nice. To have comfort. Soon she joined in returning the hug. Dumbledore smiled at the pair and cleared his throat.

"I suppose I should be leaving, half the student body has been petrified. I'll be here on Thursday to give you a tour so you can see the school before you start next year, cheerio." The old man apparated on the spot leaving a speechless Moon and a nervous chuckling Lupin.

"He does that some times," Remus tried to reassure the tense tween. They moved into the house. Lupin helped with Mackenzie's luggage. The 12 year old looked around the room it was a small living room and she was able to see the kitchen from the front door. The furniture was mismatched, the room smelled of books and 70's songs played quietly on the record player in the corner of the room. She'd never seen a place like it, it felt like a home. "Sorry, it's small you're probably used to something bigger"

"It's perfect" she smiled which made Lupin smile too.

"I'm sorry about your parents they were good people- and your... aunt. I might not be as good of a guardian as her. But I'll try my best to make you as comf-"

"Honestly you could hit me with a frying pan and I would still like you more than her." The french girl cut him off chuckling at herself.

She pulled her small suitcase into the spare room that was now her's. It was like taking a step back in time to the 70s; old green wallpaper was half falling off the walls, a single bed covered in bright yellow laid in the corner of the room. A rusty wardrobe with flower patterns stood next to it and a green rug rested on the ground, in Mackenzie's eyes, it was flawless. She grinned at Lupin's efforts.

"This is what I remember the girls at Hogwarts decorating their rooms, I wasn't really sure if you would like it. If you don't we can re-paint it and I can get you some new furniture." Lupin's uneasy voice came from behind her.

"Little outdated, but green is my favourite colour so... I think I'm going to keep it."
