I woke up the next morning and I went down to my favourite coffee shop and got a coffee. I started my day early today. I didn't have any classes so I could stay home and relax. Maybe read a book and lay in bed. I haven't told Morgan about Nick getting me a ticket to the game or coffee before the game. I was going to wait until I knew how I felt.

Me: "Hey, no need to save a ticket for me tomorrow."

Morgan: "Okay. Next time. Have fun with your books. Love you B."

I wasn't going to tell Morgan I was going to be there or there with a ticket from Nick. Sure I sat in a usual spot, but it was nice that Nick was offering to get me a ticket to the game.

The next day

I woke up the next day to my books beside me on my bed. I must've fallen asleep studying late last night. I check my phone to see its 11am and I have a few texts.

Morgan: "I'll hold onto your ticket in case you change your mind."

Nick: "good morning"

Auston: "Robby told me about your little date. I promise I won't tell mo."

Me (to Morgan): "Ok thanks Mo."

Me (to Nick): "Good morning :)"

Me (to Auston): "It's not a date.. I think. Thanks"

I start my day with my coffee maker and enjoy watching the bustling lunch rush on the Toronto streets. I sat by computer looking at Pinterest until I finished my coffee.

Nick: "Did you just get up?"

Me: "Yeah lol I fell asleep next to my books"

Nick: "I just got done skate, did you want to get coffee say 4? Just before I head to the rink?"

Me: "Sounds good to me :)"

I spend my time cleaning up my apartment. It usually gets pretty messy during the week when I have classes. I can't seem to keep my shit together. It's 3:30 and I get ready to go out. I wore black jeans with my black bloodstones and a grey cable knit sweater.

Nick: "Hey I'm here outside."

I was just putting my jewellery on as he messaged me. I walk down stairs and he is standing outside wearing jeans and a sweater. It was a nice October afternoon so we decided to walk down the street to the coffee shop. "Hey how are you?" He asks.

"I'm good. How are you?"

"Good. I'm glad you decided to get coffee with me" He responds as we walk down the street.

"Of course. I'm glad you asked."

"Morgan always says how hard it is to pry you away from your books."

"Yeah, school keeps me pretty busy."

"I've heard. Morgan talks about you a lot. You guys are close?"

"Yeah we grew up together kinda."

"Nice. This coffee place right here is called Strange Love." Nick points to a small coffee house on the corner.

"How cute is this place." Nick holds the door open for me.

"I found this place a while back during the summer. It's so good." We order our coffees and Nick insists on paying for them. We sit down and let our coffees cool down a bit.

"You know lots about me, but I don't know much about you."

"Yeah uh I'm a California kid. I was drafted last year and my brother also plays in the NHL."
