Hours go by and Nick leaves for skate. I work on school stuff and finish a paper for one of my classes. The day goes on and I'm still in my sweatpants. It's around 6 o'clock and I finally get ready to take Nick to the airport. I wear jeans with black casual heeled boots and a black turtleneck and a long black coat. My hair was down from the braid it was in last night, so it had some curl to it. I put on my jewellery sit around waiting until it's time to take Nick. At 7pm I let Nick know that I'm going to be there soon. Their flight took off at 8pm, so they had to be there by 7:30. I get the to the parking garage and Nick comes out. "Are you ready to head down to Florida?" I ask him as he opens the car door.

"Yeah I'm kind of excited. I haven't played there yet." He gets in the passenger seat of my black jeep wrangler. "Thank you for driving me to the airport. I appreciate it." He fixes his suit jacket. He's wearing the dark plaid suit and

"You're welcome. I like the company. Also you don't have to ride with Morgan and Auston." I laugh.

"Yeah they still haven't left." He laughs in response. I drive down the highway and before I know it I am in the parking lot of the airport.

"Let me help you with your bag." I say not wanting this to end. We climb out of the car and I open the door for Nick to get his bag.

"I'm going to miss you." He puts his bag over his shoulder.

"I'll miss you too. I'll be watching your games on tv. So play good." I laugh. I see Morgan park his car down the aisle. He gets out and sees me standing with Nick.

"Have fun with school while I'm gone." Nick hugs me not letting go.

"You have fun on your work trip." I laugh releasing from the hug.

"I'll try. Some of my co-workers are coming." He laughs. "I better go." He looks at his watch. I look at my watch and see it's 7:30. He better go meet up with the team.

"Ok. I'll see you when you get back." I smile and look into his eyes.

"I'll see you before you know it." He leans in and kisses me catching me off guard. We break and he begins to walk away. He turns and winks at me before joining Auston and Travis. I see Morgan and he smirks at me. I wave back. Returns the wave. I get back in my car and head home back to my books. I plan to spend the rest of my day reading and sipping on coffee. Tomorrow was Friday, so I had lectures all day at school.

Nick's Pov

I said goodbye to Brooks and I met up with the rest of the boys. "I don't know who is gonna miss Brooks more. Me or you?" Morgan comes up to me as we walk to the plane and puts his arm around me. I laugh.

"I don't know. Might be close." I respond.

"But I think she'll miss you the most." I smile. "I really like the two of you together. She seems happy. Unlike I've ever seen." I look at him and smile. There are media people all around taking our picture as we are near the stairs.

"I know it's so fast but I know what you're talking about." Everyone gets on the plane and I am sitting with Mitch. I get out my iPad and watch suits. Mitch is watching some animated movie beside me. Before I know it, I've watched three episodes of Suits and the plane is going to land. We get off the plane in Tampa and the warm air hits my skin. It reminds me of home with my parents. On the way to the hotel, I text Brooks telling her that we've landed.

A week later.

I haven't talked to Brooks often. We're both busy people and are working on chasing our own dreams. That's one of my favourite parts about her. The road trip is going well and is coming to an end with a game in New York against the Rangers. Brooks told me that she hadn't been watching the games much. It's midterm season, so I can understand not having time for TV. "Brooks not texting you much?" I put my phone away and Morgan asks.

"No I haven't talked to her much lately." We step out to Madison Square Garden for the game.

"Don't worry. She does that. She's graduating a year early so she's got a lot going on. She's probably starting to study for the LSAT or whatever."

"I had no idea she was going to graduate next year. Good for her."

"All she does is study, except for now." Morgan jokes.
