Today is 23rd June. In other words today is the day France is facing Portugal in the final game of the group stage.

They need to win with two goal difference to top Group F and book their tickets to the knockout phase.

Otherwise they finish third and will be out of the competition.

Considering the amazing form their in, it will be a massive blow to not go further.

Puskás Aréna was packed with fans and I was seated close to the substitutes, along with Hazel and Rory.

Don't know who decided it's a good idea for us to be so close to the pitch. If I want, I can jump and with a bit of effort I'll find myself on the pitch.

" I swear, if they make it to the knockout stage tonight I will run on the pitch to celebrate."

Aurora voiced my thoughts and I nodded with agreement.

" Was thinking the same sis."

" That makes three of us."

I high fived both of my friends.

Hazel smirked and I can see the wheels in her head moving, trying to figure out the best way to fulfill her goal.

Antoine shakes hand with Olivier, completely unaware of the tension between me and his teammate. Only to make things weirder for me, my ex looked directly to and winked.

My reaction was to smiles softly and sent a kiss to my future husband.

" Okay... There we go guys." Aurora said and popped a popcorn in her mouth.

" Please do not turn into Liverpool and give us a heart attack. Please just win comfortably."

Hazel was saying a silent prayer and I couldn't relate more to what she said.

Just win lads. Just win this game and makes us proud.

Round of 16 here we come!

After a hard first half, in which France was two goals down after a brace from Diogo Jota, they came stronger and won the game 2-4.

Antoine scored two of the goals and assisted for another one.

His celebration for the first goal was to get on one knee and pretend he was proposing.

Definitely caught the attention of everyone present at the stadium.

And he definitely earned an eye roll from Giroud.

Paul Pogba and Lucas Hernandez scored respectively the third and the fourth one.

Staying true to ourselves and our plan, after the final whistle Hazel, Aurora and I jumped from our seats and ran onto the pitch.

I was so full of happiness and proudness, that I didn't realize I basically tackled Antoine on the ground.

" I see you are in a good mood, Love."

" I definitely am."

He wrapped his arms tightly around my body, keeping me close to him, while we were still laying on the grass.

Even with some grass in my mouth, I won't trade the feeling for nothing.

" Bet we will make it on the newspapers tomorrow morning."

We laughed at his statement, knowing that with our run, me and the girls won a one way ticket to the front page of all tabloids.

Finally standings up on our feet to join the rest of the team I noticed Hazel and Benjamin dancing, while Aurora had wrapped herself around her brother like a koala bear.

It was a night to remember, full of emotions.

Anto whisper the words and placed his head on top of mine, hugging me from behind.
