Architect
I'm the architect to my own suffering.
This cement I circle and warp,
Designing and constructing a safe space,
That takes me away from harm,
But unknowingly also from heart.
See, in trying to protect I unwittingly provided the building plans for my own jail.
By incorporating the template for a zone that no one who wants to harm me can get in,
I've made sure no one who wants to help can pass through either.
Life isn't easy, and I know that.
But it doesn't give excuses to lock yourself away from it.
Because both good and bad make it worth living,
And that bad just makes you appreciate the good even more.
So step out, step away, from the building of you.
And make sure friends and family can easily pass through.
