Chasing Climax

CHAPTER SIX

"Calm down, calm down!" I chanted with a trembling voice as I stood up at the center, next Zenon. Doing my very best to change the tension between these guys.

But just like what I am expecting, no one listen nor speak. My whole body was literally shaking from fear, afraid of the outcome.

"W-We're going to leave now, just please don't pull the trigger." I said with a trembling voice as I hold on Zenon's arm tightly and I start to step backward, dragging him out of the room but then, I stilled when Clyden uttered my name plainly.

Shuddering, I remain silent and waited for him to continue whatever he wants to says but he never speak again.

But instead, he stood up and gesture everyone to drop their guns, he then, walk towards us. However, before Clyden made it infront of me, Zenon hide me behind his back.

I gulped and gripped his arm tightly. What the hell is he doing?! He's putting his life on the line. From the time he enter his feet inside this house, he's already in danger.

I have no idea who's these people infront of us, all I know is they're somehow connected to each other, they share same surnames. But I can sense how dangerous they are, by diving on the dept of their eyes... I saw a mix emotion that are screaming, I can't name it.

They can hide it to others by flustering a smile on their faces, by acting like a fool, or by making people laugh... But they can't trick me. I can read people by just looking at their eyes.

"We're leaving," Zenon said, fighting an eye contact with Clyden. The tension between them makes me suffocated.

"Let's go, Tammy!" Zenon added as he drag me out of the room. All I can do is to go with the flow but before we completely leave the room, I take a glance at Clyden but his eyes are filled with undecipherable emotion.

What is that? I'd never encounter a person like that. He's unreadable. His eyes were filled with mystery.

As we leave the house, I pulled my arms from Zenon. Can't help but to get mad of his unnecessary action. When did he learn to mind my own business? That's not so him.

"You're crazy." I said in a serious manner. Zenon stop and stare at me.

"Why did you come?" I hissed and give him a death glare. He take a sighed but he never answer, instead, he hop in on his motorcycle and gesture me to follow so I obliged.

Kahit galit ako ay wala rin naman akong magawa dahil gusto ko na rin umuwi. After what did they just did to Zenon, I don't think I can stand with Clyden anymore.

He's the worst than I imagined. I would never tolerate that.

Zenon is the only one I got, aside from Elisha. I treasure my friend the most... That's why pointing a gun to my friend is so much unacceptable.

"I come to pick you up. Tsk, you made a wrong move, Tamara. They're the Hudsons, they're dangerous." Zenon replied that made me still.

Then why is he saying this to me casually? He even trespass Clyden's house without any fear. He's really crazy.

"Look who's talking." I said and roll my eyes that made the later chuckle.

"So, why are you here anyway?" I ask to change the topic.

Zenon is a friend of mine since highschool days— more like a brother to me. But when we turn in college, we have to parted away since I studied at the capital while he stay at the province. But even after parting, our friendship remain.

"… It just happened that I pay you a visit but your friend Elisha says you're not in your unit. Then she send me your location. After finding out that you're with that Hudson, I decide to pick you up. You better not get close to that jerk." He said that made me sighed but I just nod my head.
