I took my phone to call Silas, but he's not answering. Naka-tatlong tawag na ako. His phone is not off, sadyang wala lang sumasagot.

Is he in a meeting? Or baka may bussiness trip sya abroad? Should I just go straight to his house? Pero paano kung magkasama pala sila ni Estella doon ngayon? Anong gagawin ko? Anong sasabihin ko? I think I might just break out if I'll see the two of them together.

Parang may nabunot na tinik sa dibdib at nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng i-accept ni Silas ang pang-limang tawag ko.

"Hello? Is this, Ms. Shannon?" It's Ms. Gracie who answered Silas' phone.

"Hi, Ms. Gracie. Is Silas there?" I asked.

"Mr. Aubertin is having a meeting right now, but it will end in less than 30 minutes. Should I tell him to call you back later?"

Umiling ako kahit hindi naman nya makikita. "No need. Can you just tell him that I'll be waiting on his house?"

Ilang segundo muna bago nakasagot si Ms. Gracie. "Sure, Ms. Shannon. I'll tell Mr. Aubertin your message."

"Thank you, Ms. Gracie..." I said and we both ended the call.

I took a taxi to go to Silas' house. I opened the door using the spare key he gave him, then I sat down on his couch, planning to wait for him there.

Wala pang mahigit isang oras ay narinig ko na ang pagdating ng kotse ni Silas. I waited for him to open the door.

I stared at Silas when I saw his expression. May gulat at pagtataka sa kanyang mukha, pero kita sakanyang mga mata ang pananabik.

"I immediately drove home when Gracie told me about your message... I..." He sighed of relief. "I missed you, Shan."

When Silas showed me his gentle smile, I quickly stood up and walked towards him. Sinalubong nya kaagad ako ng malaman kung ano ang gagawin ko. We hugged each other. Damn, I missed his scent.

"I'm sorry if I stop calling you and going to your apartment, it just that... Sinunod ko lang iyong sinabi ni Accalia. Maybe you just need space and..."

I'm just listening to him, while burying my face on his chest.

"About Estella..." Silas sighed again. "We've been friends since I came here in the Philippines. She's half French too, that's why we became close. Yes, we had a physical relationship but that's it. I don't have any feeling for her and I didn't promise her a marriage!" Diniin nya ang huling salita.

Hindi parin ako kumikibo at nakayakap lang sakanya.

"Please, babe, say something..." Silas kissed the top of my head.

"Let's get married, Silas."

Sya naman ang nanahimik kaya inangat ko ang ulo ko para tignan sya. When I looked at him, his lips is parted and his eyes is slightly widen.
