Aspen

I wandered around the school campus for awhile since Mason has his practices and I haven't brought my car today so I needed a ride home. I went to the field and sat on one of those bleachers. I heard my name relentlessly being called and plucked my head towards that direction. I saw Jake coming over to my side.

"Hello there!!" He smiled.

"Hey Jake. Where's Josh?" I asked looking over behind him.

"Ah! He went to try-out." He said pointing over to the brunette haired boy.

"What about you?" I looked over from where he was pointing.

"You see,I don't play soccer." He smiled.

"You seem slightly built." I said.

"Hmmm... I play other sports I guess?" He shrugged.

"Oh really? Like what?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Basketball?" He replied more of a question.

"That's cool. I should watch one of your games sometime." I suggested.

"You should." He nodded in agreement. I focused my gaze back to the field and spotted Calum, he gave me a small wave and I returned the gesture as well. I looked back at Jake to see he was looking at me. I can feel the heat rushing to my cheeks.

"Sorry..." he apologized, running his fingers through his perfectly quiffed hair.

"It's alright." I mumbled hiding my blush. I felt a hand brushed my cheek and tucked my stray hair behind my ear. Memories of Luke tucking my hair flooded my mind that night. I sighed.

"You're cute when you blush." He chuckled. I heard wolf whistles and laughter at the bottom of the bleachers. I looked down to see the team looking at us as I covered my face in mortification. I took a quick gander at Jake and he was scratching the back of his neck and faintly blushing. I threw some kind of seed at them but someone dodged it causing it to hit Luke in the head.

"Ow! What the hell!!" He exclaimed rubbing his head. They hurriedly got down to business and dessembled that nothing happened. Luke looked at between the two of us and sat down at the second step of the bleachers.

Minutes have passed and their practices finally ended. I stood up from where I was sitting and went down to wait for Mason by his car while Jake was trailing behind me.

"Uhm, I better go now." He said.

"Yeah, alright. It was nice meeting you guys by the way." I smiled politely. I was flabbergasted when he took me in his embrace and took me quite a few seconds before giving in.

"Take care, Aspen." He whispered.

"You too." I said pulling away from the hug. He scurried off to the other direction just as Mason arrived.

"Ready to go?" He asked giving me a side hug.

"Yeah." I nodded getting inside his car. He started the car and pulled out from the school's parking lot.

"He likes you y'know." He took a quick glance at me.

"I'm sorry, but who?" I said furrowing my eyebrows.

"The other twin, Jake." He simply said.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"Do you even see how he looks at you?"

"Uhhh, no?" It came out more of like a question. He sighed and went back to his driving.

--

I plopped myself on my bed lied down for awhile. I decided to get some fruit downstairs.

I went down to see mom in our kitchen making dinner. I muttered a quick hello and grabbed 2 apples from the table. I went back to my room while munching on my apple. I went to my desk and grabbed my history book and started highlighting some keywords for our next topic.

I heard something being repetitively thrown on my balcony. As I get closer, I can hear my name softly being called. I quickly slid the balcony door open.

"Aspen!" An average sized pebble clobbered my shoulder, I grimaced at the impact of the pebble.

"OH MY GOD! I'M SO SORRY." Michael whisper-yelled. Wait, Michael? What is he doing here.

"What do you want?!" I snapped, his face fell and I frowned.

"I came here to apologize." He said in a soft voice, pulling his sleeves on his palms.

"You could've used the front door!"

"I'm sorry?" He said in a small voice. I hate this idiot sometimes. I don't even know how he was related to us.

"Come up." I sighed.

"Where should I pass? Your balcony or the front door?" He look so puzzled about it.

"Of course the front door you idiot. You're related to me remember?"

"We are?? Ohhh right! I'm sorry, I forgot." I face palmed at his response and waited for him to come up.

A knock came from my door as I quickly answered it. I gasped when a pair of arms tackled me in a bear hug.

"Aspie I'm sorry." Michael said in a baby voice rocking me back and forth.

"What the heck Michael." I said prying him away from me.

"Shhh. I'm apologizing." He said stroking my hair.

"Yeah whatever. I forgive you Mikey." I said.

"REALLY!?!?!" His eyes lit up like a little kid on Christmas.

"Yes now get off." I said pushing him away from me.

"Yay!!" He said jumping around.  Mason walked in and judged Michael and looked at me for any response, but instead I shrugged.

"COUSIN!!!!!!!" Michael shrieked tackling Mason to the floor.

"Michael, are you high?" I asked.

"No, I just miss you guys." He smiled still ontop of Mason.

"Get the fuck off me." Mason struggled underneath.

"Okay." Mikey simply said getting off Mason.

"What's up with you." I said  helping Mason up.

"Eh I just feel like it."

"Whatever." Mason mumbled.

"By the way, supper's ready." He added.

"IS IT PIZZA!?!?!" He practically yelled at my face.

"No, we're not like you Mikey." I joked and his face fell.

"I was kidding." I laughed.

"Good." He nodded crossing his arms.
