Part 8 (Disappearance)

"Why were you at my house this morning?" Eri asked while we were making our way towards the park entrance.
"Erm... Denki and me were having a sleepover.... right Denki." He laughed nervously.
"Yup! It was really fun...hehe" my lips curled into a smirk. "Yeah... well, we're here, c'mon Eri." We walked in and her eyes widened "Woah!!!!!! It's Huge!!!" I smiled "Yeah! There are fun rides we can go in to! My favorite one is the Pikachu ride! Wanna go in there?" Eri glowed up again.
"Yes!!!" I groaned in what I think was annoyance and Denki glanced at me.
"I feel very left out again." Denki laughed and hugged me. "Sorry Shinsou." I smiled softly.
"It's fine Kitten, go have fun, I'll come along" He smiled, nodded and ran off with Eri.

"Hey dad, have you seen Denki?" We had returned home after a long day in the theme park, Denki had fallen asleep the moment he sat down on my bed.
"No, didn't he go to your room with you?" I nodded, my mind already filling with things that could've happened to him.
"He did, I went to grab something to drink and now he's not there anymore.." Mic got up and walked towards me. I think he noticed my concern, cause he put his hand on my shoulder reassuringly.

"I'll try calling his parents to see if he maybe went home..." Aizawa said, already grabbing his phone. "Ok... I'll look around my room.. Or something like that, I guess." I didn't know why, I guess I was just hoping he fell off the bed or something.

I returned to my room and locked the door. I was awake for the majority of the night, strangely, within one night I had gotten so used to cuddling with Denki and I couldn't fall sleep without him anymore.
I was exhausted in the morning.

"What happened to you?" Aizawa questioned with a concerned look. I didn't answer him.
"And? Is Denki at home?" Aizawa shook his head sadly and told me to, 'Wait it out' I tried but every night I was just laying awake in my bed to attempt sleep. most of the nights I just spent on my phone. I'd given up on actually sleeping.

"Shinsou!" I heard Mic yell from the kitchen.
Denki had been missing for 2 weeks and I was starting to lose hope. They'd put up a search team but without luck.
"Shinsou!! They found something!!" I shot up, hitting my head as I do, and ran towards the kitchen, where Mic was cooking dinner.
"What did they find?!" Mic looked at me with a grim look on his face. I rubbed my head, a small stinging pain crossing my head.
"Dad? What did. they find?" I repeat, as if talking to a child. Mic sighed,
"Kaminari was captured.. by the League of Villains.." my fear and sadness turned to pure rage.

"Where's dad?" No answer, "Mic where's dad?!" he took a step back. Did I just scare him? "he's at the office, he's helping fin- Shinsou?" I had stopped listening the moment Mic told me where Aizawa was.

I sprinted to the wardrobe and took my jacket.
"I'm gonna help him." Without waiting for his opinion I ran out the front door.
"Shinsou?! That's too dangerous!" I heard what he said but it couldn't get past the part of me that wanted- no, needed to save Denki. I knew what office Mic had meant.

"Shinsou! What are you doing he- did Mic tell you already?" I was panting and just nodded, unable to form coherent words.
"Eraser Head, who is this?" Pro hero Ryukyu asked. "I'm very sorry, this is my eldest son, Shinsou" I looked around the room, still grasping for air. There were a lot of pro heroes, including nr.1 and nr.2 hero Endeavor and Hawks.
"And why is he here?" Endeavor continued for Ryukyu.

"Kaminari is his boyfriend, I suppose he wants to help us...." I nodded again.
"Shinsou, I don't think that's a good idea..." I looked up into my father's dark eyes. "I want to help." Aizawa sighed in defeat, he knew he wouldn't win this.
"He's what 14? He can't help us Eraser Head." Endeavor said interrupting Aizawa.
"He's 16 and I trained him myself. He can help us just fine." I knew my father disliked Endeavor but I never understood why, now I do. Endeavor scoffed and turned back to what he was doing. I heard multiple heroes and police officers agree with what Aizawa said.

"What's his quirk?" I heard someone ask. I stand up straight. "My quirk is brainwashing." I heard a few whispers. "
Isn't that more of a villainous quirk?" Before I could do anything myself, the officer who said it was on the ground wrapped in Aizawa's capture weapon. He bend down slightly.
"Say that again about my son and I won't be so kind. Understood?" The man nodded in shock and Aizawa released him.
"Good. Anyone else who wants to complain?" No one answered. "now, let's continue." again everyone was silent.
"We found the League's location because Kaminari's quirk shot out and released a large amount of electricity into open air. it was quickly shut off so we assume someone knocked him out before he could do more." I just nodded as I managed to process the information. "I don't understand why we need all these heroes for just one boy who got himself captured because he couldn't take care of himself" That was the moment I noticed Kaminari's mom was also there. She stood up facing Endeavor.

"Because I care about my son and he's a very promising hero." Endeavor scoffed again. He didn't give three shits about it.
"Then why doesn't he save himself?" what a bitch, no wonder Todoroki prefers staying on the dorms, I would too if my dad was such a dick.
"If you have no intention of helping you might as well leave Endeavor" one of the other heroes said. the number one hero just nodded, stood up and walked away. Hawks took one look at Endeavor and followed him. What a dog.

"was that everyone who wants to leave?" people started nodding and we continued discussing the plan. We would rescue Denki in the morning because it was already around 3AM.
"C'mon Shinsou, let's go home, get ready for tomorrow" I nodded and followed after Aizawa.

Only when we arrived home my dads started scolding me for interfering in actual hero work, I wondered if the same happened to Midoriya or any other 1A student whenever they interfered with the League of Villains. I couldn't answer any of their questions or see or talk at all. After some time I felt Mic's arms around, that woke me up.
"I-I'm.. I'm sorry.. I don't know what I was thinking." I looked up at Aizawa, who looked back with concern crossing his eyes.
"I don't think you were thinking at all, your body moved on it's own and didn't even give you time to think." He was right, I hadn't been thinking for the whole time I was at the office or the time we were on our way back home.
"I'm going to my room..." I mutter quietly. neither of them sais anything about it and just let me leave. "Shinsou!!! Are you ok?!" Eri ran towards me, even the six year old knew something was up. "I'm fin-" I was interrupted by my little sister hugging me and quickly handing me a bottle of water. "Drink. you didn't drink today" that was true of course. I took the bottle from her and attempted a smile to reassure her. "Thanks Eri, I'll be going now."
