"Did no one ever tell you that opposites attract? Besides, you guys have a lot in common as well." Fai almost chokes in her last sip of coffee. "We have a lot in common? Yeah right." she says, rolling her eyes. "No, I'm serious! From what I have heard there are quite some similarities between the two of you-" "Amy, how can you know? You have never even met him before." Fai puts her empty coffee cup back on the table. "Are you getting upset with me right now?" Amy raises an eyebrow; she knows she has been pestering her friend a little but that is because she knows her friend can take it. And because she knows Fai is lying to herself, the same mistake she made a couple of years ago. Amy was just in time to admit her feelings, but she knows Fai is more stubborn than she is.

"Yes of course I am upset, no matter what I say or do you keep on taking his side. Do you even care about my feelings?" a pout appears on Fai her lips, she can't deny she's a little sad about it. "Hey, don't see it like that. Of course I am not taking his side. I want you to be happy and the way you talk about him tells me more than enough. You like him and he definitely likes you as well, so stop wasting your time and admit your feelings." Amy grabs Fai her hand and gives her a reassuring look.

"Honestly, I'm not so sure if he is sincere." Fai mumbles, focusing her eyes on the wooden table she is sitting at. "What makes you think he isn't?" Amy frowns. "I don't know." Fai lifts her shoulders. "I just feel like I'm not fit for him, I'm not that much of fun." she adds, a thought that has crossed her mind more than once. "But you are fun! You're one of the most funny and sweet persons I know." Amy does not seem to understand what her friend is talking about. "Well, first of all, you are biased." Fai says, making her friend laugh. "And second of all: compared to him, I am really boring. I am not a daredevil like he is. The only thing I do is my homework and work in a flower shop. I've never done anything illegal, I'd never even skipped a class." Fai explains, a deep sigh leaving her lips. "Wait, hold up." Amy sits up a little straighter. "Being 'fun' is not about doing illegal stuff. That is just being stupid, you do not have to skip classes for people to start liking you. You are perfect the way you are, and if people can't appreciate you that way then they don't deserve you." Amy says with a stern look in her eyes, she is definitely not okay with what her friend just said. "I'm not saying I will skip my classes so that people will start liking me or so. It is just that I am not fit for him. He does all that crazy stuff, thinking it's normal, but for me it isn't."

"So that is your next reason?" Amy asks with a raised eyebrow. "He will probably just leave me once he finds out I'm not that much of fun." Fai mumbles, not answering the question.
"Do I feel another reason coming?" Amy the dark-haired asks, she cannot hold back her smile, she is just way too excited to hear more of the story. "Yeah, I guess so." Fai nods, thinking of how she can make sense of this reason. "Once he will find out that you are 'boring' -which you are not- he will leave you. Is that it?" Amy asks, by now she sort of figured out how her friend works. "Yeah I guess so, I'm pretty sure he'll leave me when he gets to know me for real. When he finds out that I don't fit his way of living."

"I am not going to see this movie with you." Fai says, crossing her arms while she looks the older boy in his brown eyes. "I am not." she shakes her head a little. "What? Why not?" King does not seem to understand what the problem is. "Well, because first of all, it's a horror movie." Fai her body starts shaking when she only thinks about it, let alone that she would actually watch a movie like that. "I don't watch those kinds of movies." she adds. "Why? Because they are scary?" her senior asks, an almost mocking tone in his voice. Fai is taken aback a little, will he laugh at her if she tells him the actual reason?

"Hey, it's okay I will be sitting right beside you. I will be there to protect you if it is too scary for you." King says, from out of nowhere he sounds really sweet and caring. A tone of voice she never actually heard from him. Fai shakes her head again. "No, I really can't. Those scary things might be funny to you and you will probably laugh every time there is a jump scare or so, but for me it is my biggest nightmare." Fai mumbles, looking down at the ground. "Last time I watched a horror movie I had been having nightmares for two weeks. It was no fun, I woke up crying and screaming every night. My parents forbid me to watch a scary movie like that ever again." she explains. King nods, now it starts to make sense to him. If he had known she was that scared of horror movies he would have taken her to a different one. "How old were you when that happened?" he asks, he wants to know more about her. He wants to know every single detail there is to know. It is weird, he never really cared about girls that much; they were just a waste of his time. But it looks like Fai opened his eyes, he is interested in her and wants to make sure she feels comfortable when she is with him. At the same time he wants to open her up, to break her from that comfort zone so that she can have a little fun for once.
"I think I was about eight years old when that happened." Fai answers, she is slowly starting to calm down a little. He is not trying to make fun of her, he just wants to get to know her so he can understand her a little more. Right?

"And you haven't watched anything scary ever since? It's been ten years." he is surprised. Fai nods. "We don't watch it at home and I always make sure to look up what kind of movie it is if someone wants to take me to the cinema." she says. "But this time, I didn't really get the time to do so, you practically pulled me all the way here."
The older boy laughs. "You really make it sound like I dragged you here, you walked here on your own two feet. Voluntarily." the black-haired crosses his arms, his eyes scan Fai her body. No matter how many times he has seen her in her uniform already, she just looks stunning wearing it.

"What is the second reason?" King asks from out of nowhere, making the younger girl look up at him in confusion. "My what?" she asks with a frown. "Why you don't want to watc the movie. You started with 'first of all', so that means there is at least a second reason. What is it?" King explains.

Fai her mouth drops slightly, she did not think he would remember that. "Well second of all, I can't go with you because I am not allowed to hang out with you." she eventually says. A grin appears on King's face, not the reaction Fai expected. "Let me guess, your brother again?" he asks with a raised eyebrow. "That's none of your business..." Fai mumbles, sometimes she really hates how obedient she is towards her brother. He always makes up some rules and she has to obey them without a complaint.

"Aren't you getting tired of living such a boring life?" King asks, his eyes looking straight into those of the brunette in front of him. "B-boring?" Fai never thought about it like that, she did not necessarily think of her life as boring, but do other people think about her like that? "Yeah, you always go by the rules, listening to people like your older brother. I know you have your own opinion, you like to speak your mind. But It seems you are holding back sometimes. Aren't you old enough to start making your own decisions?"

Suddenly Fai starts to feel a little anxious. Is she really boring? If he already thinks she is boring, it will not take long before he will just leave her. Compared to him she is pretty boring indeed; he needs someone who dares to get out of her comfort zone for once. Someone who dares to make her own plans, who does not always listen to her parents and older brother. He needs someone way different from what Fai is. But why does he keep coming back to her every time?
Fai takes a deep breath. "Should I show you that I can be fun?" she asks, surprising her senior once again. His lips slowly curl up in a smile. "Show me."
