The bridge is built from strong wood
So that it will not sway with the breeze.
The bridge is built tall, sturdy, and proud.
The bridge is built for the people
So that they may use it to advance.
They use the bridge to get to their destination
And by doing so, they walk all over it.
But the bridge does not complain.
When the people get where they want to be,
Then the bridge is burned down.
It is burned to ash because they are done with it.
They are done with it because they can no longer
Use it for their personal gain.
