Andy's pov
"Hey guys," I said as I put the bag I was carrying down on the grass. The team had decided to meet up at a local park for a picnic, and I seemed to be the last one to arrive. After everyone had said hi, we all started to get out the food we had bought.
"So, what's everyone doing for the rest of the day?" I asked.
"Not much, my sister said she might come over but that's about it," Dean answered.
"Well I'm going to sit on the couch all evening with a bottle of wine, a bowl of popcorn and some trashy tv," Vic said and we all laughed.
"Miranda and I are taking Tuck to the cinema when she gets off shift," Ben said.
"What movie?" I asked.
"No clue, Tuck picked something last night and refuses to tell us what," he answered.
We were all talking and eating for a few more minutes before I heard footsteps behind me.
"Drea!" I heard a familiar, sweet little voice shouting. I turned around, shocked to see her and held out my arms for a hug.
"Hey princess! What are you doing here?" I asked as she ran straight into my arms.
"Daddy's taking me to get icecream!" She exclaimed, a huge grin on her face.
"Wow, that's exciting! Where is your Daddy?" I said, looking around.
"He's coming but he's sooo slow. I saw you and wanted to come and say hello," she told me. Laughing, I stood up, and lifted her onto my hip.
"Let's go find him then shall we," I said and she nodded. We didn't get very far before he came running over.
"What did I tell you about running off like that? You need to wait for me next time," he scolded his daughter, before turning to me.
"Hey you," he said, smiling.
"Hey to you too," I said, going on my tiptoes to kiss him.
I heard Maya clearing her throat behind me, and that's when I remembered that my whole team were watching us.
"Hi," she said and I glared at her.
"Sorry. This is my team, Maya, Vic, Travis, Dean, Ben and Jack. Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Robert, and his daughter, Gabby," I introduced everyone.
"Nice to finally meet you all, Andy's always talking about you guys," Robert said and everyone laughed. Everyone then greeted Robert, while I was stood holding Gabby.
After a few seconds she tapped my shoulder.
"Drea?" She said.
"Yes Princess?" I said, using my nickname for her. She started playing with my hair before she looked up at me.
"Can you come and get ice cream with me and Daddy?" She asked.
"Well that's up to him," I said, looking over to Robert.
"Gabby sweetie, Drea's here with her friends, but if she wants to join us, she can," Robert said. Gabby looked up at me with her adorable puppy dog eyes, and there was no way I could say no.
"How about you two go ahead and I'll meet you at the ice cream hut in five minutes?" I suggested and they both nodded. I kissed Gabby's head before passing her over to Robert.
"See you in a bit," he said, kissing me.
"See you in a bit," I repeated, smiling. As they walked away, Gabby turned around to wave, and I waved back before facing the team.
"I have so many questions," Vic said, looking at me.
"Make it quick, I told Gabby I'd be there in five minutes," I laughed.
"Ok. How long have you and Robert been together?" She asked.
"Just less than 11 months," I answered.
"So can we call you Drea?" Jack teased.
"No way! Only Gabby gets to call me that," I told them firmly.
"Aww no fair," he said and I glared at him.
"Why haven't we met them yet?" Maya asked, pretending to be offended.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe it's because we're at work half of the time," I said sarcastically.
"Where does he work?" Ben asked.
"Well Robert's in the marines, but he hasn't been deployed since before Gabby was born. He's also a firefighter at Station 88," I told everyone.
"Wow, impressive," Vic said. "How old is Gabby?"
"She's four. Well I've got to go now, I'll see you guys at work tomorrow," I said, picking up my bag.
I said bye to everyone, before walking off towards the ice cream hut. When I got there, Robert and Gabby were sat at a picnic bench, already holding their ice creams.
"Drea, look! I got mint choc chip!" Gabby exclaimed when she was me.
"Wow that looks tasty," I said, taking a seat next to Robert.
"I got you cookie dough, I hope that's alright," he said, passing me one of the ice creams he was holding.
"That's my favourite! How did you know?" I grinned, taking it from him.
"Lucky guess," he laughed.
The three of us sat and finished our ice creams before standing up.
"Daddy, Drea, can we go swimming? Pleaseeee?" Gabby begged.
Robert glanced over at me, and I shrugged, signalling that I was fine with it as long as he was.
"Okay, why not," he said, and Gabby jumped up and down in excitement.
"I'll have to stop by at my apartment first to get my swimsuit, do you mind dropping me off? I came with Maya and she's still here," I asked.
"Of course, that's fine. We can go by both of our places for us all to get changed and then go to the water park," Robert said.
We walked the short distance back to Robert's car, Gabby swinging on both of our arms. When we got there, I got in the passenger seat while Robert put Gabby in her car seat.
Soon, we pulled up at my apartment.
"We can wait here if you want," Robert said.
"No it's fine, you can come in for a bit. I won't be long," I said. He got Gabby out, and we all went up to my apartment. "I'll just go and get changed, help yourself to any food or drinks or whatever."
I went into my bedroom, closing the door behind me. Looking through my closet, I eventually picked out a black bikini and put it on. I then grabbed a pastel pink dress to wear over the top for now.
When I walked into the kitchen, Robert looked up at me. "You look amazing," he said, walking over and wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Thank you," I whispered, closing the space between our lips.
"Can we go now? I can't wait to get to the water park!" Gabby said, and we stopped kissing.
"Yeah, we just need to go to our house for us to get changed, then we'll be going to the water park," Robert said, and she jumped out of the kitchen seat she was sat on.
"Yayy!" She shouted, grabbing both of our hands and pulling us out of the apartment.
When we got to their apartment, they both got changed whilst I waited in the living room. Gabby came back out wearing a pink flowery swimming costume covered by a white cardigan, and Robert had on swimming trunks and a T-shirt.
As soon as they were ready, we set off for the water park. When we got there, I grabbed the bag we had bought, while Robert got Gabby out of her car seat.
We paid for entry, and then headed towards the changing rooms. Gabby and I went to one, and Robert went to the other.
After we had taken off the clothes we were wearing over our swimsuits, Gabby tapped my arm. "Drea, can you braid my hair please?" She asked and I smiled at how cute she was.
"Of course princess. Come sit on my lap and I'll do it now," I said. She came and sat where I had told her, and then I gently combed through her hair before braiding it. "Is that okay?" I asked.
"Yeah! I love it!" Gabby said excitedly. Then, I grabbed her goggles, her armbands and some sunscreen out of the bag with one hand, and Gabby's hand with my other.
When we walked out of the changing room, Robert was already stood there waiting for us.
Gabby let go of my hand and tried to run straight past us both towards the pool, but he caught her. "Sunscreen first," he said.
"But I don't like sunscreen," Gabby said.
"You've got to or you'll get burnt. Even me and Drea are going to put sunscreen on," Robert told her and eventually she gave in and let him put it on her. "Wait for us now."
Robert threw me the sunscreen and I put it on my arms, legs, face and stomach. "Can you do my back?" I asked Robert.
"Only if you do mine after," he replied.
"Deal," I said, and we both laughed.
Robert put some sunscreen on his hands and then started to rub it onto my back.
"Okay this feels like a massage," I laughed. After Robert had finished rubbing it onto my back, he turned around for me to do the same for him.
"I see what you mean about it being like a massage," he said, and I carried on rubbing it in, having to stand on my tiptoes to reach the back of his neck.
"Come on, you're so slow," Gabby said impatiently, causing us to laugh.
"We're coming Gabs," Robert said, and the three of us walked towards the pool. "What do you want to do first?" He asked her.
"Let's go on the slides!" She said, pulling us over. For the first one she wanted us to go on, all three of us sat in an inflatable raft together. It was round, but Robert and I still made sure Gabby was in between us so she didn't fall out or get hurt.
For at least the next three hours, we went on water slides, swam in the pools, splashed about in the wave machine and had a lot of fun.
"Come on, it's time to go now princess," I said as we all climbed out of the pool, mine and Gabby's hair dripping down our backs.
"Aww I wanna stay longer though," she said, looking at us with puppy dog eyes.
"Well, maybe if you ask Drea nicely, she'll come over to our apartment tonight," Robert suggested, glancing between me and Gabby.
"Ok. Drea pretty please will you come over tonight? For a sleepover?" She begged me.
"I would love to," I laughed.
We all went and got dried and changed before heading back to their house. When we got there, Gabby ran straight to the living room and I followed Robert to the kitchen to get some snacks.
"Did you have fun today?" Robert asks, standing behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Yes, I did. Did you?" I asked.
"I got to spend the day with my two favourite people, of course I had fun," he replied and I giggled. Turning my head, I leant up to kiss him.
We then grabbed some popcorn and went to see what movie Gabby had picked out.
She'd picked The Princess And The Frog, so the three of us snuggled up to watch it, whilst eating the popcorn and occasionally throwing pieces at each other.A/n: First chapter up! I had this idea a while ago and finally got around to writing it. I'll be updating every Thursday if I can :)
