Vic's pov
I was in the beanery with the rest of the team when Travis walked in with Gabby. We all greeted them, and then Travis went to get her a snack.
After about half an hour, I started to wonder where Andy and her boyfriend, Robert, were.
From where I was sat, I tried to signal to Travis that I needed to talk, but it took him a while to figure out what I meant.
"Hey Gabby, how about you go and see Ben for a few minutes? Maybe he'll tell you about how he used to be a surgeon," Travis suggested, and she nodded, happily going over and sitting in Ben's lap.
"Where's Andy and her boyfriend?" I asked when we were outside of the beanery.
"Not sure, Andy asked me to take Gabby to get a snack, and I overheard her saying to him about talking, but I'm not sure what about," Travis told me.
"Okay, well I'm gonna go and see if I can find them," I said.
"Okay. Oh and Vic?" Travis said and I nodded curiously. "So you know how I did your laundry last week and you said you owe me?"
"Where is this going?" I asked.
"Will you do aid car inventory pleaseee?" He begged and I rolled my eyes.
"Fine," I said, and Travis thanked me before heading back to the beanery.
Before I did that for Travis, I went to Andy's bunk. From outside the door, it didn't sound like there was anyone in there, but I knocked anyway.
"Andy? You in there?" I shouted, but I got no response. I opened the door and peaked my head into the room, but it was empty.
I wasn't sure where else they could be, so I decided to just wait for them to go back to the beanery. In the meantime I could do aid car inventory for Travis.
I made my way back to the barn, and towards the aid car. As I was getting closer, I thought I heard a sound. I stood still for a moment, but didn't hear anything else, so I just assumed it was the team being loud in the beanery or something.
I pulled the door open, and saw Andy and Robert sat in the aid car. He had his back to me, and she was hidden behind him. I was about to say something when I noticed a pile of clothes in the corner. Realising I was clearly interrupting something, I started to turn around.
But they must of heard me, because Robert turned around and both him and Andy glanced over at me. Now that he was no longer hiding her, I saw the bruises and cuts all over her body.
"What the hell happened?" I asked, confused.
"Close the doors, I don't want anyone else seeing me like this," Andy insisted, and I nodded. I climbed into the aid car, pulling both doors shut behind me.
"Are either of you gonna tell me what happened now?" I asked, looking between the two of them. They glanced at each other, and he put a hand on her shoulder.
"The call Travis and I went out on... there was some drunk guy who beat me up... I'm fine though really," Andy said.
"Why didn't Travis say anything?" I asked, kind of angry at him.
"Because he didn't know," Andy said.
"Babe you need to get checked out at the hospital," Robert said gently, probably knowing what Andy's reaction would be.
"No. I'm fine. I don't need to go to the hospital, and I don't want to either," she said, shaking her head.
"Andy, he's right. You could have internal injuries or something," I said, but she just shook her head again. I could see her starting to get upset, and I'm guessing Robert could too, because he pulled her into a hug, being careful not to hurt her anymore.
"Andy, look at me," he said, and she turned her head upwards slightly. "I know you don't want anyone to see you like this, but you have to get checked out. And I promise that I'll stay by your side for all of it," Robert said, and eventually Andy nodded.
"Fine. But it'll have to be after shift because I'm supposed to be working," she said.
"You can't work like this. I'll talk to Maya and get you the rest of shift off," I told her.
"No, I already said I don't want anyone else knowing," Andy insisted.
"I'll make something up then. I'll just tell her you have a doctors appointment or something," I said.
"Fine. But what about Gabby?" Andy said, trying to think of any excuse to get out of going to the hospital.
"If it's alright with the team, she can stay here and we'll pick her up after you've been checked over," Robert said and I nodded.
"Yeah that's fine, I'll keep an eye on her," I said and he smiled gratefully.
"Fine, let's go and tell Gabby that she's staying here for a bit and then we'll go," Andy sighed.
"I'll bring her down here so that you don't have to go upstairs," I said and she rolled her eyes.
