Robert's pov
There's two days until Andy's going back to work. She ended up having two weeks off instead of one, because the bruises still hadn't healed and she was in a lot of pain still, but she says it hardly ever hurts now.
Today, Gabby was going was going to her friend Megan's house. Me and Andy would have the house to ourselves for the first time in weeks, and I had planned a date night in for us.
I was getting dressed when the doorbell rang, so Andy said that she would get it. Once I was dressed, I went downstairs to see her and Megan's parents talking, and Gabby and Megan stood to one side playing a game. When Andy heard me coming down the stairs, she turned around and smiled.
We all talked for about ten more minutes, and then they left, taking Gabby and Megan to the park or something.
"You wanna watch a movie?" Andy asked.
"Sure, what do you want to watch?" I replied.
"Hmm how about Deep Blue Sea Two, Maya keeps going on about it, she says it's really good," Andy suggested, and we sat down to watch it.
About half way through I went and got some popcorn and soda from in the kitchen. We were eating it when all of a sudden Andy through a piece at me.
"Hey what was that for!" I said and she just laughed. I started laughing too, and picked a piece up to throw at her. Soon, we were both throwing handfuls of popcorn at each other, and it was all over the couch and the floor.
Before we knew it the movie was over, and I looked down to see that Andy was asleep. She was laying on me, so I moved slowly so I didn't wake her up. I picked her up and carried her bridal style up to the bedroom. Not surprisingly, she was awake by the time I laid her down on the bed, seeing as she's a light sleeper.
"Hey, you can go back to sleep, I was just bringing you up here because it's more comfortable than the couch," I said.
"Mm okay, you joining me?" She asked sleepily, but I shook my head.
"I've got a few emails to answer, but I'll come up once I've done. Wait for me here," I said, kissing Andy. Then I closed the door quietly and went back downstairs.
I wasn't really answering emails, but I knew that Andy would believe me if I told her that.
Instead, I started to make lunch. I was making a recipe for Crab Linguine that I had found online, because I knew that it didn't take too long to make. As the pasta was cooking, I made the sauce, and then mixed them together. Then I also put the crab on the hob to cook. While they were cooking, I set the table.
I put a clean table cloth on it - a change from the one that we usually have on for Gabby - and put all of the cutlery where it was supposed to be. Then I got two wine glasses and poured the wine into them, leaving the bottle on the counter. Once everything had finished cooking, I served it onto two plates and put them on the table. Finally, I lit a few candles and put them on the table and around the dining room. I would've preferred to cook Andy dinner, because that would've been more romantic than lunch. However, Gabby will be back by then, and this was supposed to be just the two of us.
Once everything was ready, I went upstairs to get Andy. When I went into the bedroom, she was still asleep. I went over and crouched down beside her side of the bed. I pressed a kiss to her forehead, and when that didn't wake up, I started to kiss her neck, which woke her up straight away.
"Hey," Andy said, kissing me back.
"Hey. I made lunch," I told her.
"Ooo yay, I love your cooking," she said, and I laughed. We got up and went downstairs, and Andy started to grin when she saw what I'd done.
"Robert this looks amazing!" She said, turning to kiss me. I took her hand and led her to her seat. I pulled the chair out for her to sit down, making her giggle slightly.
I sat down opposite Andy, and we started to eat.
"How is it?" I asked. I hadn't made this before, so I wasn't sure if Andy would like it.
"I have no idea what it is, but it's delicious," Andy said and we both laughed.
"So.. um, there's something I wanted to ask you," I said, starting to get nervous. What if she didn't want to and she said no?
"What is it?" Andy asked, looking up from her food. I took a deep breath and started to talk.
"Move in with me. Well, with me and Gabby, obviously. You're here most of the time anyway, but I want you to move in properly. I love spending time with you, and so does Gabby," I said, and waited for Andy's response.
"Yes! I love spending time with you and Gabby too, and I would love to move in with you," she answered, and by now we were both smiling.
"In fact, how about we go and get the rest of my things while Gabby's at her friends house?" Andy suggested excitedly.
"Yeah, that's a good idea. But we need to eat pudding first," I said, getting up out of my seat.
I started to take the plates to the sink, but Andy stopped me.
"I'll wash up, you've done all the cooking, so it's the least I can do," she said but I shook my head.
"No, today is my treat for you, so you're not washing up. I'll do it later after we've gotten your things from your old apartment," I said, and Andy sighed, obviously knowing that there was no way I would give in.
"Okay fine. Are you gonna tell me what you're making for pudding?" She asked, giving me begging puppy dog eyes.
"Banoffee splits," I told her as I started to make them. I made the sauce, and while it was in the pan, I started to peel and cut the bananas in half. I put them on the plates and then scooped icecream next to them. Finally, I drizzled the sauce over it all and put a plate down in front of Andy, and one where I was sat.
"Mmm this tastes amazing," Andy said between mouthfuls and I laughed slightly.
"Thanks, I'm glad you like it," I said, eating my own. Soon we had finished and I put the dishes in the sink with the other ones.
"Thank you for today Robert, I loved all of it. And I'm really excited to move in," Andy said, and we both smiled.
"You're welcome, and I'm excited for you to move in too," I said, going over to kiss her.
"I'll ring Maya and let her know that I'm moving out. She won't mind, I mean I'm hardly ever there anyway. And I'll ask if we're ok to go by in a bit, she's probably at work anyway," Andy said and went off to phone Maya. A few minutes later she came back in. "She said we're fine to go over now because she's at work so she won't be in our way," Andy said.
"Okay, we can go now then, but you're not lifting anything. You're still supposed to be resting," I insisted.
"Oh come on, I'm fine," she said.
"Still not lifting anything," I said and she sighed.
"Fine," she gave in, and I put my arm around her.
"Come on, let's go," I said, and we went out to my car. As I was driving, I held Andy's hand in mine and rested them both on my leg. Every so often I would lift them up and kiss her knuckles softly. It had sort of become a thing that we always do while we're in the car.
When we got to Andy's apartment that she shared with Maya, we headed straight to her bedroom to start packing her things. We'd bought a few boxes with us, so we both started putting things into them.
Once we had packed up everything in Andy's bedroom, we went and sat down in the living room.
"So, anything else you want to bring?" I asked and Andy looked around.
"Don't think so, most of this is Maya's stuff," she said, as she went to get us both a cup of coffee.
We sat and talked for a bit while we drank the coffee and then I started to get the boxes out of the bedroom.
"Come on, just let me carry one box at least, it's gonna take forever if you have to keep going up and down to the car," Andy begged but I just shook my head.
"Nope, the doctor specifically said no heavy lifting, even if you are going back to work in two days," I said, not giving in. Andy rolled her eyes and sat back on the couch, making me laugh.
An hour or so later all of the boxes were in my car, and Andy and I were driving back. Back to our house.
"Welcome home," I laughed as we walked in.
"Home," Andy repeated, smiling. I took all of the boxes up to our bedroom, and together, we started to unpack. I cleared half of the space in my closet for Andy to hang her clothes, as well as half of the drawers.
Once all of her things were unpacked, we laid down on the bed. Andy had her head resting on my shoulder, and I had my arm around her.
"I could stay like this forever," Andy whispered as I pressed a kiss on the top of her head.
"Me too," I agreed. We stayed like that for nearly an hour, and I was pretty sure Andy had fallen asleep until I felt her move slightly.
"You wanna do anything else today?" I asked.
"Hmm, I don't mind. How about we go for a walk? I've not been properly outside for what feels like forever," Andy suggested.
"Yeah, that's a good idea. Just a short one though, so that you don't get too tired or anything," I said and Andy nodded against my chest. We got up and changed, seeing as we'd been wearing these clothes while we were moving all of Andy's things. Then, we headed out. We had two hours still until Gabby would be back, so we weren't in much of a rush.
As we walked down the street hand in hand, I thought about how perfect everything was right now. I live with the woman who is very likely the love of my life, I have an adorable daughter, and I have a job I love. I just hope it all lasts.
"So, are you looking forward to going back to work?" I asked Andy as we walked.
"Kind of. I am looking forward to going back but I'm going to miss being able to spend so much time with you and Gabby," Andy replied.
"Yeah, me too," I said. We walked for a while, and then realised that it wasn't long until Gabby will be back, so we headed home.
"What are you going to tell Gabby about me moving in?" Andy asked when we were nearly home.
"I'll just tell her as it is because we know she'll be excited about it," I said and we both laughed.
We were only back for about ten minutes before Molly's parents dropped Gabby off. When she came running in, she hugged us both and then went and sat on the couch to wait for us. Once we had said goodbye to Megan's parents, we went and sat beside her.
"So, Gabby, how would you feel about Drea moving in with us?" I asked, both me and Andy waiting for her reaction.
"I thought she already lived with us," Gabby said, confused, causing us to start laughing.
"Well I wasn't, but I am now princess," Andy said, and Gabby started to grin.
"Yayyyy!" She said, hugging Andy. For the rest of the evening the three of us just sat around the house, playing games and watching tv.
