Chapter 33

*Matt's P.O.V*

It's now the next day and I had just woken up. The sun beaming through my windows and shedding some light into my room. I carefully moved just a little to my side and then looked down to see the angel sleeping beside me.

Alex was still sleeping peacefully. She looked so pure with her eyes closed and as if she was in her own world when she was sleeping. She had a small smile playing on her lips.

I smiled at her and then kissed her softly on the forehead.

I carefully got out of bed and then went out of my room. I quickly went to the bathroom to do my business before going into the kitchen where I had seen that Macsen was in there.

"Good morning, Matt." He said when he saw me coming in.

"Good morning, Macsen." I said.

"Did the sun wake you up?" He then asked when he looked at me.

"You can say that."

I was thinking of maybe making breakfast for Alex. She can have like a little breakfast in bed. I think she would like it.

"What are you thinking about?" Macsen then asked when he saw me taking some ingredients out.

I looked at him. "I'm thinking of making breakfast for Alex. Let her have breakfast in bed."

I can see him smiling at me. He would make it seem like he was trying to hide it but it was pretty visible. Which I'm okay with.

"Has she fully gained your trust?"

To be honest, I really didn't feel like talking about that kind of thing at this hour of the day. I was still feeling tired but I knew that I wouldn't be able to go back to bed. So I was up and was in the kitchen preparing to do something special for Alex.

"We're taking it slow the next few days. I feel like she gained my trust a little each day. I think she's doing a good job so far. We both know that we don't want to lose each other again." I said.

"I think with her being here and how it's been so far that you two are okay. To me, it's a good idea that you guys are taking one day at a time with how everything is going. You two are alright." Macsen said and I just nodded.

I have the pancake mix into a bowl and Macsen had said that he would start making the eggs and bacon.

Once I had the pancake mix and water mixed together, I started to make the pancakes in the pan. I made about three pancakes and then put them on a plate. There was some extra where Macsen could make some for himself if he wanted to.

A few minutes went by and then Macsen had the eggs and bacon ready. I put the eggs and bacon on the plate as well. I had made sure that there was a small container that held the maple syrup.

I poured some orange juice in a cup and added some mixed fruit in a small bowl. Then Macsen and I were just staring at what we had just made.

"She's going to love it." Macsen said.

"I hope so." I said.

"She's going to. It's something special from you. Remember that."

So I carefully picked up the tray that had the food and orange juice and Macsen had followed me into my room just to make sure that the orange juice doesn't make a mess. We reached my room and Macsen carefully opened the door for me so that I could go in. I set the tray on my bedside table and I gave a gesture to Macsen as a way of saying thank you and that I got it from here now.

I went into my bed and laid down next to Alex. I slowly and gently pressed multiple kisses on her face as a way to wake her up.

It was only a couple of seconds in before I heard her giggle a little bit.
