"Okay, this is why we can never decide on what movie we wanna watch." Kayleb said as he was looking through the movies that were on the tv.

"There's too many of one specific movie." He then added when he realized that there were a lot and he couldn't decide.

"Just pick a movie." Ellie said.

We were trying to figure out what movie we wanted to watch. But we wanted to watch a scary movie and Kayleb couldn't decide. Or matter of fact, we couldn't decide.

"This is why Randy said in Scream 2 that sequels suck. Since they probably can't follow with the original." Kayleb said.

"Are we having another debate?" I asked.

"But this one on movies? Last one was on if pizza should have a stuffed crust." Kayleb playfully rolled his eyes.

"But what do you think, Kayleb?" Ellie asked him. "What is it about sequels not being able to follow the original?"

"I never said they didn't. It's what Randy said." He shook his head when he saw another Halloween movie.

"Well do you agree with him?" I asked.

Kayleb looked at Ellie and myself. "Let's think about this. Scream is a very popular scary movie. It still has people talking to this day about how great it was. But how often do they talk about the second scream movie? It's very rare. I'm not saying it sucks but you see my point."

"But you'll prefer the original?" Ellie then asked.

"Maybe I have another opinion about sequels." Kayleb shrugged. "But still, there's so many Halloween movies and Friday the 13th movies that I can't decide on what we should watch."

Ellie chuckled. "They continue to make these movies because they're popular. I mean, come on. People love Halloween and Friday the 13th."

"And Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street." I added on to what Ellie was saying.

"Those kinds of movies are very popular. Those are the popular scary movies. Reason why there's another Halloween movie coming out in a few years." Kayleb then said.

"Maybe another Scream movie in the future." I said.

Kayleb gave me a look. "That's a possibility."

"But you still didn't answer the question. Do you agree with Randy on if sequels suck?" I asked Kayleb.

"There's a mix." Kayleb started to think. "Like some movies have good sequels and some don't."

"Hunger Games had a good sequel." Ellie chimed in.

Kayleb nodded. "I agree with that. Catching Fire actually happens to be one of my favorite movies out of the Hunger Games series."

"Hunger Games is a good series overall." I said and then went to the kitchen real quick to grab a bag of pretzels. Then I went back to the living room.

"Since now we're talking about sequels, we might as well watch Scream 2. We'll watch a sequel while we're talking about sequels." Kayleb said and he put the movie on.

The movie started but we kept talking.

"But you can tell how grown up the characters are." Kayleb said as he stared at the screen. "Since in the first movie, they're in high school and then in the second movie, they're in college."

"Yeah, Sidney and Randy are now college students. Dewey is still a police officer while Gale is still a reporter." I said and continued to eat pretzels.
