Chapter 47

*Matt's P.O.V*

"You have the pairs of clothes that you're going to wear?" Macsen asked as he sat on my bed.

I double checked my suitcase and then nodded. "All here."

"Toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other bathroom necessities?" Macsen then asked and I checked in the pocket that I usually keep all of my necessities.

"Check." I said.

"Shoes?"

"Got them." I said.

"I was going to joke if you had something else packed but I decided against it." Macsen said and I gave him a look.

I don't even wanna know what he is thinking.

"Continue." I said.

He looked at my phone. "Pajamas?"

"Have them right here." I patted to the side of where my pajamas were.

At the moment, Macsen was helping me double check everything. I have to make sure that I am all packed and have everything before I head to California in the morning. I'm so glad that the day is tomorrow. I can't wait to see Alex.

I missed her so much and I just want to give her a hug and a kiss.

"You have your underwear?"

"With my socks." I said and then I again checked to make sure that I had everything before I closed the suitcase.

I set my suitcase next to the door and then sat down on the bed.

"I'm glad that I get to head to California again. I missed her so much. Even though it seems like weeks since I last saw her but still. I just want to be near her." I smiled.

Macsen smiled too. "I hope you have a fun time in California."

"As long as I am with her, I know I'll have a good time. No matter what we are doing."

Macsen pretended to make a gagging noise and I just laughed at his silliness. I get to spend some time with her and then when it's my birthday, I will be able to ask her what I have been wanting to ask her.

I'm still hoping that goes well.

"You remember that Madison and I are driving you to the airport." Macsen brought up.

He's telling the truth. Madison had offered to drive me to the airport and Macsen wanted to join along. Which I am completely fine with.

I nodded. "I remember and I'm glad that you two are driving me to the airport. We can spend some time before I head into the airport."

"And plus, I wanted to be able to be up early anyway. I didn't want to wake up and have to say my goodbyes to you before you left the house. I wanted to be able to spend time with you before you went on the plane."

"I'm glad you're coming along." I said and then gave him a hug.

He hugged me back and then we pulled away from the hug.

"Are you ready to ask her what you've been wanting to ask her?" He asked me.

I sighed. "I'm ready to ask her but I am just scared of what she might say. But like you said, if there's an obstacle then I will be able to work my way around it."

"It'll be okay, Matt." Macsen said. "Just keep being positive."

"That's what I am planning to do." I said.

"I better head to my own room right now." Macsen said and he got up from my bed. "You and I have to get up early tomorrow and you have to be on the plane. We need to get sleep."
