I spent the next couple of weeks training more often with Nat and Steve.
I really want to push myself so I can lose some weight.

"Slow down kid you'll burn yourself out." Steve says from behind the punching bag.

"Don't worry so much about me." I say in between breaths.

"Your getting better you know. Slow down drink some water," he says walking away from the bag and passing me a water bottle.

I take it but don't drink.

"Thank you." I sit down to catch my breath, "same time tomorrow?"
"No, you need to rest Y/N." He says walking up to me scruffing my hair and leaving.

Dammit.

After a few minutes I catch my breath and get up.
I get to the bathroom to fix my hair before heading down to see Loki. He's growing on me. He catches an attitude every once and a while but not anything I can't handle.

I pass by the kitchen to say hi to Thor.
"Hello Y/N. Steve tells me your getting stronger," Thor says while eating some leftovers from the other night.
"Yea he says your starting to look like a very promising soldier," Nat smirks at me looking away from the dishes she was washing.

"I'd hope I'm getting better. I'm stored of staying home." I tell them and Tony walks in on cue.

"You'll be joining us on a missions soon you'd better train up to get strong like me." He winks at me and Natasha rolls her eyes.
I chuckle then announce, "I'm gonna go see Loki."
I notice Thor smile before I go.

I take the elevator down to Loki's floor.

Beep beep beep beep

"Heyy Loki." I say content from what Tony had just said. Finally, hopefully I'll get in on a mission sooner rather then later.

"Hello Y/N, have you eaten today?"

"What do you care?" I snap back.

He looks at me impatiently waiting for a real answer.

"I'm not hungry."

"You always train with Natasha and Rogers at this time, you should be."

"Well I'm not," I say sprawling out on the floor still kind of sweating.

"It'd do you well to listen to me for once Y/N."

"Yea yeah I'm sure you'd love that," I tell him trying to get comfortable leaning on the railing.

"What is wrong with you?"

"It's hot in here," I tell him and take off my sweater that I worked out in.

Loki got up immediately looking at me like I had grown a second head.
"What happened to your wrist?"

Shit I forgot about the bandages.

"Oh you know trained a little too hard." I said trying to keep my cool.
"Y/N I am the god of lies. I can see  that you are lying to me!"
"I swear Loki, it's the truth." I don't dare open my eyes to see his expression but I can feel him looking at me still.

"Why don't you tell me a story?"

He sighs deciding not to press further, " The story about what you know I don't have a very heroic history Y/N."

"Just tell me something beautiful. I know what you've done Loki. Your not a monster their has to be some beauty in your life."

I look at him and he is laying on the floor as close to the glass as he can mirroring me.

"I know not of much beauty Y/N. I ruin everything I touch." He turns his face away from me whispering the last part.

"Come here."

He turns to me searching my face for what I can only assume is fear. He projects a clone of himself lying beside me.

We stare into each others eyes until I notice I'd been holding my breath the whole time.

I repeat in a whisper of nerves, "tell me something beautiful."

This time he doesn't turn away he begins telling me, "my mother, Freya. She is indeed beautiful. She truly loved me. To her I was never less than Thor."

"She sounds amazing."

"She is..." he opens his mouth slightly to keep going but hesitates.

"Please keep going."

"She... after I found out the truth of where I'd come from she was the only one who understood."

"What's the truth?" I ask confused. Thor had told me of Loki's attacks and betrayals but nothing about any "truth."

"I am not Thor's true brother. Odin my father took me from the frost giants, he used me to try and keep peace with them. He lied to me my whole life. I always knew he loved Thor more than I but after finding out the truth it all made sense."

We sat in silence for a moment.

"Say something Y/N." He says turning his head to face mine.

He looked so vulnerable. The smirk he usually showcases is gone, replaced by the fear of rejection and disgust.

"Will I ever get to see this truth?" I lift my hand up slowly to touch the side of his face but before I can the projection is gone. He is behind the glass again laying in the same position as me.

"Someday... I will show you but I'm not sure you will like what you see," he whispers so quietly I could barely hear him.

"There is no part of you I don't want to see. I want to see you in all your glory, just as you are."

He gives me a meek smile before turning his head face ceiling and closing his eyes. You sit comfortably in silence as I admire his features. It seems like every day he looks more and more beautiful.

A.N: She is totally simping for Loki. But so am I 🥲✨🤌🏽
