(I know they didn't have AUX cords but can we just imagine for the sake of the story that Brian did some neat tech thing that worked please)

As they all recovered from their laughing fits, Brian made an executive decision, got up, and went into the secretary's office. Alex came up behind him and put her arm around his shoulder as he was bent over the sound panel for the loudspeaker.

"What'cha doin'?" She asked, giving him a grin. He stayed silent as he pressed a few buttons on the soundboard.

"Can I borrow your Walkman?" He asked, turning toward her. She narrowed her eyes at him in hesitation but eventually gave in, handing over the cassette player. He unplugged the headphones and plugged in a different wire. He pressed a few more buttons, and then pressed play on the Walkman. The tape began to play, and the loud rock music began to play over the library's PA system. Alex grinned.

"Now this is what I'm talking about!" She said with a grin, walking backward with her hands in the sign of the devil's horns. He smiled back and she ran into the middle of the room before jumping onto the tables, strumming an air guitar along with Phil Collins. Bender and Andrew both shot her a grin from where they were sitting and got up to dance. Bender took it upon himself to climb the statue in the middle of the room and was hanging onto its neck as he began head-banging.

(Insert Dance Montage, Time Skip)

Bender was standing in the middle of the room, whipping his hair along to the music while Alex watched him from the side. She was smiling at him, and it caught his attention. He stopped and looked up at her before smiling back. He approached her and bowed mockingly, offering her his hand. Alex's eyes got wide.

"Oh, uh... I'm not the best at dancing." She said reluctantly. He stood back up and grinned, taking her hand anyways.

"I don't care." He replied, smirking. He pulled her back into the middle of the room with him and spun her around before they began to dance. John took the lead and they swung around and whipped their hair along to the music. Alex was sure she wouldn't have been able to stop smiling for anything, until Bender looked up at the clock.

"I gotta go, sweet-cheeks." He said, somewhat sadly. She made a pouty face and Bender rolled his eyes. "I don't wanna get caught again." Alex nodded in understanding. She made to turn to go sit down on the railing with the rest of them, but John caught her hand and she spun around to look at him. He bowed over her hand jokingly, before giving it a kiss and running back up the stairs. Alex couldn't hide her blush from Andrew, Brian, and Allison's suggestive stares as she sat down.

Allison suggested that Brian write one paper for all of them instead of six individual papers, even though they agreed to leave Claire's out, and he agreed. They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments before Allison stood up and pulled Alex down with her.

"Where are we going?" Alex asked as she was pulled into one of the study rooms. They sat down on the floor across from each other and Allison huffed a deep breath.

"I want you to make me look pretty." She stated. Alex blinked.

"You already look pretty." She replied. Allison smiled and blushed a little but shook her head.

"No, like you and Claire. You guys are prettier than me." Allison argued. Alex sighed.

"I disagree, but okay. And I think you're prettier than Claire. Now hold still." Alex brought out the little makeup she carried in her backpack and pulled out an eyeliner pencil. Allison wiped off the black she smudged around her eyes initially, and Alex set to work. She was careful as she applied the brown eyeliner to Allison's eyelid, and she sat back looking at her masterpiece. Allison had taken off the frumpy clothes she was wearing before, and changed into a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She tied back her hair with a bandana Alex had stolen from Bender, and voila. Alex grinned as Allison looked at her reflection in the window. She looked beautiful either way, but this way was different. Good different.

"What do you think?" Alex said, putting her chin on Allison's shoulder. Allison grinned.

"I like it. A lot." She smiled. Alex grinned wider and grabbed her hand.

"Come on, let's go show the boys."

"What?!" Allison cried as she was pulled back into the library properly. Alex pulled her into the middle of the floor, drawing Andrew's attention away from the wall he was staring at. His eyes got wide and his jaw dropped as he looked at Allison's transformed appearance, making her blush. Alex left them alone as Andrew hopped down and approached Allison. She decided she didn't care if Vernon caught them, she wanted to see John. She walked out of the library, into the empty office and found the closet John was apparently isolated in. She opened the door as quietly as she could.

"You lost?" Bender asked flirtatiously, smirking as Alex closed the door behind her. She shook her head. She stepped toward him slowly, and he raised an eyebrow. She leaned forward and placed a light kiss on his cheek before leaning back to look at his face. He frowned at her, and this time she raised an eyebrow. Suddenly, he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, making her giggle. They both leaned forward and engrossed themselves in a steamy kiss, locking lips and huffing heavy breaths. Alex smiled onto John's lips causing him to lean backward. "What?" He asked. She shook her head and grinned.

"My dad would hate you." Alex stated by way of explanation. John grinned in response.

"Good."

Bender placed his arm around Alex's waist as she pulled his jean-jacket over her shoulders. She flushed slightly and they both flashed grins at Carl as they walked toward the front entrance.

"See you next Saturday."

"You bet."

Alex watched as Andrew and Allison shared an intimate kiss before she ripped a patch of his jacket and got into her mother's car. She turned to Bender, who was already staring at her as the sun set behind her.

"What?" She asked, smiling.

"Can I walk you home?" He asked. She narrowed her eyes before nodding, and she took his hand and pulled him around the side of the school to cross the football field. He held her hand gently, careful of the bandages but keeping his grip tight. To keep her from slipping away.

She took the sunglasses off his face and placed them on her own. He raised an eyebrow as she ran forward across the field before turning around to look at him. He smiled at her and pumped his fist in the air in victory. They won more than one battle today. She laughed at him and thought her grin couldn't get any wider. Maybe a couple more detentions wouldn't be so bad.
