Avengers Tower (Chapter 10)

I blinked slowly as I woke up and I glanced out the window.
"WOOOAAAAH" I gasped in awe as I watched us slowly land on the avengers base.
"Welcome" Tony said slapping me on the shoulder. I smiled up to Tony and watched the avengers stand up ready to leave the plane and I did the same.

We walked into the building and it was beautiful, lots of luxurious furniture and artwork and lots of windows and technology.
"Come on" Tony said and I followed him and I entered a beautiful room that's was decorated with whites and pastel blues.
"Wow" I gasped at the beautiful room
"You can decorate however you want" he said and smiled at me
"Wait what?"
"What"
"What do you mean I can decorate it"
"It's your room so you can do what you want with it"
"WHAAAAT"
"Yea?"
"You mean I get a real bed and not bared windows!!!?? And I get bathroom and a closet and no concrete walls?!" I said running into the room and turning to face Tony
"Yea" he said laughing
"Wow thank you Tony" I said and ran to him about to hug him with my arms out but then stopped and stepped back. Tony walked right up to me and just pulled me into a hug.
"You're welcome (y/n). Feel free to explore the place just be in the dining room for dinner."
"Uh ok"
"Later fire ball"
"Later tin can" I laughed and he glared at me and then put his glasses on again and left.

I wandered around the tower seeing labs, fancy bathrooms, several kitchens, bars, training rooms, gyms, arcade rooms, conference rooms, screening rooms, dance rooms, and even a room with seats and a stage, probably for press conferences or announcements at parties. I found a room that had a dark brown hardwood crib with a pastel pink blanket, there were photos of Tony and who I presumed was pepper along with photos of the avengers. I found toys and stuffed animals, it was a baby's room. I heard footsteps and I turned to the doorway and Steve walked by and then back up to be looking through the doorway at me.
"(Y/n)?" He asked and walked into the room and it looked like he was hurt by entering the room
"Oh hey Steve" I responded
"What're you doing in here?" He asked again
"Just looking around, whose room is this?" I questioned
"Uh.....no ones right now." He said and looked away
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well uh....pepper and Tony were expecting a baby girl once but......it didn't go as planned." He said looking down
"What do you mean it didn't go as planned." I questioned him
"Well I guess I'll just tell ya the story then," he said and sat down on a rocking chair and sat in another chair, "Tony and pepper were going to have a baby girl and her name was Lily, Lily Stark but when she was born of course we all grew attached to her. About two months after she was living in this tower the FBI took her saying it wasn't safe for her to be living with all of us, Tony protested and attacked the FBI and drank alcohol for weeks after and then he eventually and to terms with it and then about 5 months after that the baby I guess got a horrible case of the flu that the adoptive parents didn't know of for some reason and Lily died. Again after that Tony drank and partied and took his anger out on us and almost got us killed in a mission and Nat almost got herself killed as well from her low mental health, she was the main caretaker of Lil when Pepper and Tony went on dates or went and did things." Steve finished his story and I could see tears in his eyes
"Wow..uhm....I'm so sorry Steve..." I said and he immediately stood up
"We shoudo talk be in here, come on." He said and then directed me out of Lily's old room and closed the door after I exited and Steve walked away without another word.
I continued to explore and found a room full of all the superhero's suits as I found one similar to my red jumpsuit I wear and it had my name on the glass and I smiled.
"Avengers please report to the dining room for dinner" Jarvis said as I literally jumped. I made my way to the dining room and joined everyone for dinner. It felt weird to eat with the people I viewed as my enemy for half my life but they were so kind and welcoming to me I had to try to get past it.
I enjoyed the food we had and had dessert and had good conversations and then eventually made my way to my bed room for the night and I pulled my baby blue covers up to cover the lower half of my face and began to think about Lily Stark and the effect it had on Tony and Pepper and all the avengers and then I faded into a deep sleep for the night, the first night in the avengers tower.
