Interview (Chapter 28)

I woke up and looked over to see Peter holding my hand and I just smiled slightly. I slowly took my hand out of his and then got up to get ready for the day and whatnot. Eventually I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in!" I called out.
"Hey kiddo!" I heard Tony say and he came over to where I was at my vanity.
"Hey what's sup?" I asked smiling into the mirror as he picked up a lipgloss and looked at it confused.
"What's the difference between this and a lip stick?" He asked plainly.
"Is this what you can to ask me?" I asked laughing
"No but I'm curious now." He stated.
"Ugh ok well a a lip gloss is a gloss and a lip stick is uh...is a stick." I said laughing. (If you know where this reference is from I love you)
"Uh ok...well the team has been invited to go on Jimmy Fallon tonight and you're invited." He said setting down the lip gloss.
"Wait really?!" I stood up and turned around to face him.
"Yea!" He said and I just hugged him.
"Can I get a cool outfit?!" I asked excitedly.
"Yea Wanda and Nat are going to go out later to pick out some outfits" he said and handed me a card, "this has a limit on it so you don't overspend." He explained and then ruffled my hair and left.
I took a moment to think about what I wanted to do for my hair. I then sprinted out of my room and went to find Nat and Wanda getting some car keys.
"You coming?" Nat asked.
"Hell yea!" I exclaimed and followed them out the door.

We arrived at the mall and we all went to a new store and went to go shopping. I had in mind what I wanted. I went straight for what I had in mind and it didn't take me long to find what I wanted. I tried it on and showed Nat and Wanda and they freaked out. Wanda chose a beautiful dark forest green dress that was made of satin, it went with her eyes perfectly. Nat chose black slacks with a oversized black blazer with gold buttons.

We went back to the tower and started immediately getting ready I went into my bathroom and slipped into my outfit and boy did I look badass.
I did my hair and did my makeup and I was a Hawtie Shawtie!!!! Lmao sorry I had to.
I left my room and went downstairs. Peter wore a black suit and so did my dad. Steve wore black slacks with a black turtle neck and then a statement blazer. All the other guys just had solid color suits. Wanda and nat came into the room and Nat immediately started praising me on my looks. Peter turned around and saw me. Peter and I locked eyes. He never fails to look good that's for sure. He came over and immediately took my hand and kissed it.
"What gentleman!" I laughed.
"You truly look great." He said and we both blushed.
"Yo lovebirds!" I heard Bucky yell.
"Huh?" I turned to look at him and he tilted his head signaling that we were all leaving.

We arrived at the studio. Paparazzi were creating a isle down to the door where we enter the studio. Tony got out first and held the door for all of us. Peter and I locked arms as we strutted down the lane that these paparazzi created. The flashing was blinding but weirdly nice as I know it was because they were taking photos. We got inside and we're taken to our dressing rooms for us to hang out. The avengers and I chatted away and enjoyed some yummy snacks and then a knock was heard. It was the stage manager getting us to take us on stage. We all stood off stage and we could see and hear Jimmy.
"We have some fantastic guests this evening! They've been protecting us for a long time and it time they get their recognition, " he stood up and waved his arm out to where we were, "The Avengers!!"
We all walked out as applause filled the room. We all waved and blew kisses out and smiled to the large audience.
"Welcome!" Jimmy said, "take a seat any seat!" He motioned to the several couches near his desk. I of course sat next to Peter.
"So how is the superhero life treating ya guys?" He asked.
"It's been amazing to help people." Nat commented and smiled.
"It's weird but like Nat said it truly is awesome to know we're saving people's lives." Steve added.
"So you're the newest avenger right?" Jimmy asked motioning to me.
"Oh I-I guess I'm not sure if I've been officially made an avenger." I turned to Tony.
"Yes we were actually planning on announcing it tonight that she is officially part of the team." He said fixing his shades.
"Wait are you serious?!" I exclaimed.
"Wow congrats!" Jimmy congratulated me and the audience started cheering and clapping.
"Yeah!" Nat said and Tony got up and gave me hug and whispered in my ear, "you'll be the best avenger."
I got tears in my eyes.
"Well I guess now that I know my answer would be yea I am the newest avenger haha." I laughed.
"Congratulations that's amazing!" Jimmy said holding his hand out for a high five.
I went to give him a high five when suddenly the lights shut off and screams filled the room.

"What's going on?!" I heard Steve yell.
The lights started flashing on and off. The audience was freaking out and I could hear a few trying to run.
"Welcome everyone!" I heard a loud voice come over a speaker system, "how amazing is this? The avengers are here!"
I stood up and Tony put his suit on.
"Now I'm not going to hurt you all so sit down. I just wanted to let you know you're doing a fantastic job as superhero's and it's time you go up against a real enemy. I have one of the infinity stones with me. I won't be giving you any information just find me before it's too late. Have fun!" The system made a glitch noise and then the lights came back on. The audience was all crouched on the floor or crying or hiding. Jimmy was hiding under his desk while the avengers and I all stood in formation on the stage. The cameras were still rolling. Tony took his helmet off and slid his shades on and walked up to the camera.
"We'll find you and we'll kill you you bastard." He said staring straight into the lens of the camera, right into the enemies eyes.
