that provides me with
love, safety and solace
all i want is the gentle stroke of your fingers
or the caress of your breath on my cheek
when you whisper the words "i love you"
holding hands when we've been together
but apart, longing for connection
we finally achieved it
i never understood the importance
of touch before,
i do now and it's mesmerising
you don't know how happy it makes me
passionate love between us,
it was all worth it in the end
