Dangerous Power

[3rd POV]

The meeting within all of the nations have occurred, with all of them agreeing that Morikawa should be defeated at once as his power is getting way too much to handle and to the point that the Messiah, Ibuki, has been called for this situation.

It was as if everything is more annoying and irritating, but at the same time it is still concerning due to the fact that everyone's lives are at stake.

It definitely is annoying, especially to Kai. All he just wanted to do is to court a goddess, and yet this happened. Why does the fool Morikawa still doesn't want to leave the Princess alone? And then he got so obsessed to the point of wanting to destroy everyone just to get the Princess? Kai thought it was just as ridiculous as it could get.

"Kai, what's the problem?" The blue-haired knight asked, taking the dragon leader's attention.

"He's ridiculous," Kai replied. "I should've been married to the goddess already and giving her my cooked meals, but no, I'm stuck here fighting a fool who's going to kill everyone all because of one princess." He said while glancing over Kourin, which caused the blonde princess to glare and pout at him.

"Why does it seem like you're blaming me here?!" Kourin blurted out and Kai just scoffed.

"I'm not blaming you, I'm blaming The Fool of course." The brunette replied. "Besides, even if it's not you he's being obsessed with, he's already the type to be lusting for power. He'll do the same thing, all because of his greed."

"Greed, huh..." Misaki mumbled and just looked ahead.

"I still think of Morikawa as a good friend, even if we do have conflicts... I mean, he's like a brother to me when we were kids and we were all training to become knights." Aichi spoke with a sad smile.

"He was jealous of you, Aichi." Kai told Aichi, and the blunette just nodded.

"I know," Aichi replied.

"Wait... Why was he jealous over Aichi?" Kourin asked in curiosity. "I mean, other than me being his wife..."

"Well, let's just say that since I am the son of the former leader of my clan, I was pretty much the popular kid somehow..." Aichi said as he scratched his head.

"So he wanted attention as well, huh?" Kourin mumbled and puts her finger under her chin. "So he basically wanted everything that you have because of his jealousy. Sounds childish."

"But those childish things he does caused this disaster, he's destroying everyone's lives." Kai said. "I'm afraid this isn't gonna go well unless we stop him in an instance."

The couple and the goddess agreed to the dragon leader's thoughts and they gave a nod in agreement.

As they arrived on Morikawa's lair, they were all immediately met by a bunch of shadow-like creatures that quickly attacked them. The four individuals fought back, using their swords and magic power. Kourin stabbed a creature and slashed through it, and it disappeared onto thin air. She then glanced back at Aichi and saw that there was another creature about to attack him from behind.

"Aichi!" She yelled, and the blue haired knight quickly turned to his back and hit the creature as he swing it to the direction where the enemy was.

Kourin then ran to him and held his arm, "are you alright?" She asked. "Did you get hurt?"

"No, I'm fine." Aichi said and gave an assuring smile at her and they both let go of each other to fight the creatures once again.

With Kai and Misaki, they were both fighting the creatures as well. The shadow creatures were immediately defeated as both of them used their magic powers and weapons, though there was a little bit of a problem. Suddenly, a dark aura of power was sensed by everyone.

"What's that?!"

The mysterious dark aura had suddenly let out a powerful force that made the sky dark, and most civilians fell into a slumber. Aichi, Kourin, and Kai all fell down to their knees and struggled. Misaki was shocked, even the goddess could feel herself weakening.

"I-I refuse… to fall here!" Kai spoke as he held his sword tightly and gritting his teeth, he was trying not to fall asleep.

"Why do I feel… really weak?!" Aichi said, he looked at the dark sky and glared.

"What is this… power?!" Kourin said as well and Misaki slowly tried to keep herself standing.

"It's a dark magic… something that's really forbidden. This cast can make the whole world fall into deep slumber and destroy every living things…!" Misaki told them as she panted. "Morikawa only used half of it, but it's still dangerous!"

"That is correct, Goddess Misaki!" It was Morikawa's voice that resonated through everyone's ears.

"Morikawa..!" Aichi exclaimed, "why are you… doing this?!"

"It is for the whole world to be mine! And I'm going to start by annihilating you all!" Morikawa appeared with a very sinister look on his face as he let out a loud, obnoxious evil laugh.
