The War

A/N: Been playing and watching too much Tales of series that I may have put a lot of Tales references in all of my stories. Also, how's everything going? I'm currently working my butt off so I can pay bills and buy video games (most likely saving up to get Vesperia on steam)

[Aichi's POV]

"No way… you will…" my body shook in fear as I heard what Morikawa said. Why did it turn out to be like this?! I gritted my teeth in frustration.

"Yes, I'm going to annihilate every one of you! I'll take Princess Kourin with me, since I'm supposed to be the one for her and not you, Aichi!" Morikawa told me.

"Shut up! I will never want to be with you, Morikawa!" Kourin yelled out in anger, and I glanced at her.

"Princess…" I muttered under my breath, seeing as she's so determined I can't help but to feel proud for her.

"Oh, stop lying now, Princess Kourin! I'm the perfect fit to be your husband, I am much stronger than anyone can be! I have learned and mastered these elements! Then we will both rule the entire nations!"

"And what does that do? Destruction, right? You are not capable of becoming a king, or a ruler." It was Ibuki who spoke, all of us were surprised to see the Messiah appeared right before us.

"I-Ibuki!" Kai called out and Ibuki gave a nod before he went and stood in front of Morikawa.

"The Messiah? Fool! With my power I  an defeat you as well!" Morikawa said.

"Hang in there, guys!" Then suddenly, Princess Suiko also appeared. She suddenly casted a healing power to heal us all, and all of our pain and wounds disappeared from our body.

"Suiko, how did you get here?" Kourin asked worryingly.

"The messiah helped me to come here, are you guys okay?" Suiko asked and we all said yes.

Me and Kai swiftly ran up to Morikawa and started to attack him with our swords, though some of the attacks did not hit him as he dodges quickly. Then, I jumped behind Morikawa and tried to slash him with my sword but Morikawa also noticed that and he dodged.

"Oops! That one didn't hit, did it? Haha!" Morikawa let out an arrogant laugh and I gritted my teeth in frustration.

"O holy light, let the power of darkness be consumed by its opposing force! Light of Judgment!" Misaki chanted and rays of powerful light hit the ground. Morikawa was about to be hit, but then we saw that he used a spell for a shield.

"Phew! That was close!" Morikawa said. "But you can't stop me!"

"Fiery Rage!" That was Kai, and he successfully hit Morikawa's back. "Aichi! Quick!"

"Alright!" I nodded and quickly ran to raise my sword and swung it on Morikawa. Morikawa was strong enough to stop it by grabbing the sword with his hands as it started getting bloody. We both struggled.

"I'll… defeat you… Aichi…!" He told me.

"Morikawa! It's time that you stop this nonsense!" I yelled at him. "There's no need for you to do this!"

"Huh? Do you think I'll listen to you?!" Morikawa glared at me. "After you took my princess Kourin from me!! I'll never forgive you!"

"Here's the thing, Morikawa. She was never yours in the first place!!" I told him in anger and frustration.

"Why you-!"

"Aichi's right, you can never have the Princess! You're just ruining everything!" Kai spoke as well.

All of a sudden, there was a forceful gust of wind that threw us on the ground.

"Are you okay, Aichi?!" Kourin spoke to me and I gave an assuring smile at her.

"I'm okay, don't worry." I said to her and she nodded at me. I saw that Kourin held her sword and swung it to the other enemies, I was really enthralled by her strength. This didn't let my guard as I quickly noticed an enemy about to attack me and I hit the enemy with a sword.

As I looked back at Morikawa and Kai, they started to get into a sword fight and Kai looked like he was winning. I glanced back to my surroundings as I continued to defeat the enemies.

"You really think you can defeat me, Kai?!" Morikawa exclaimed and as I look back; I saw Morikawa letting out a powerful spell and made himself physically stronger.

Morikawa then was able to hit Kai and Kai's sword fell from his hand.

"Kai!!" I exclaimed.

Kai only glared, I wanted to go there and help Kai but there were a bunch of other enemies that kept on attacking us.

"What the-" Kai suddenly yelled out and as I looked back, there was a beam of darkness that was about to hit him.

"Kai!!!"

But as the beam went closer to hitting him, there was someone who went in between them.

It was Misaki.

And she got hit.
