Raven's trembling lips desperately met Damian's in an attempt to revive him. She formed her hands in a cross to do compressions while blowing air into his mouth, but it was pointless. He had lost far too much blood.

"Please don't leave me..." she spoke, growing angrier when she didn't hear a response from him. Her hands squeezed the red tunic as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Wake up, dammit!"

She never even got to tell him that she loved him.

Her arms tightly wrapped around his frame, cradling him as the most heart-wrenching cry came from her blood stained lips.

"He is gone," Trigon spoke, his words echoing in Raven's mind. "Give up, my daughter. I have won."

"Do not call me that," she snapped, glaring up at her father as she placed Damian down carefully and stood up from her spot. Her white cloak was now scarlet. "Father's take care of you. Fathers raise you. Fathers love you."

Trigon's content expression shifted to fear as he watched Raven make her way towards his throne.

"The monks of Azarath took care of me, I was raised by my friends, and that boy loved me more than you ever will."

As Raven retained traces of her mother's power, she raised her hands up and struck at Trigon with all she had. As her power began to over take him, the others were freed from the stone that cemented their feet to the ground.

"Unbelievable..." Beast Boy trailed off as he watched the scene.

"This is my home," Raven began as she soared through the sky, the red gem on her forehead emitting a bright white light, "And you are not welcome here!"

With her last words, Trigon was swallowed by her tremendous light and vanished into thin air as Raven trapped him inside her gem.  With him gone, the Earth gradually began to reverse the effects Trigon had put in place on the planet, and even brought Slade back to the land of the living.

After defeating him, Raven glared back at Ra's Al Ghul, who lost his supernatural powers once Trigon was gone.

Before he could escape, Slade stopped him in his tracks. Raven's eyes glowed red as she used her dark magic to pick him up. "I'm not finished yet," she growled as she lifted him higher in the air.

"Raven, no!" Nightwing called out.

However, Raven ignored him as she used her abilities to make the older man disappear into the darkness that surrounded him. "Go to Hell, back where you belong, demon."

Once she got rid of him, she weakly fell to her knees and used her hands to catch herself. Superman rushed to her side, making sure that she was okay.

Raven raised her head up to look at Damian, a sorrowful expression when she realized he was still lying there. Slowly, she crawled over to him, placing her hands on his chest as she began sputtering out spells in desperate attempts to heal him. Unfortunately, she was too weak.

"We can still save him."

Raven turned her head to see Talia hovering over her. Mascara was stained on her dark cheeks.

"I can't heal him..." Raven spoke shamefully, a single tear slipping down her cheek. "I used up all of my energy."

"We need to get to a Lazarus Pit," Talia informed as she looked towards Batman, who was quickly making his way over. "How fast is your plane?"

"Not fast enough," Batman admitted and looked towards the Justice League members that were approaching. "Flash and Superman can help us quicker."

"We need to get to the one on Infinity Island," Talia said, her attention fixed on Damian. "It can be used multiple times."

Flash looked down at Raven before leaning down to lift Damian's limp body. "I've got him," he assured her as he stood up, adjusting his grip on the boy.

"She could use it too. It will strengthen her powers," Talia mentioned to Superman before looking at Raven. "Be careful. If he's in there too long, it can mess with his head. Don't leave him submerged in there longer than a minute. Batman and I will be there soon."

Raven gave her a weak nod before Superman helped her up to her feet and let her climb onto his broad back.

With that, the two superhumans made their way to Infinity Island.

Once they arrived on the island, Raven quickly made her way to the Lazarus Pit, carefully carrying Damian in her arms after building up the strength.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the immense bright green water displayed before her. Slowly, she approached the steps of the pool, gulping as she stepped into the green liquid. If she didn't do this right, Damian would be gone forever.

Raven took a breath and stepped further into the pool, releasing Damain's body once she was in deep enough. As he sank into the liquid, she watched in astonishment as the cuts on his skins faded.

Her eyes widened when she saw him move underneath the water and breached the surface, letting out a loud gasp as he breathed in fresh air. Raven quickly reached her arms out and held him before he fell back into the chemicals.

"Raven...?" he softly called, opening his eyes slowly to reveal that his once brown irises were now a vibrant shade of green.

Raven wore a surprised expression at his new eye color. "I'm here," she assured him, her lips curling into a smile as she climbed out of the pool with him.

Gently, she set him down and fell to her knees, holding his face in her hand.

"You... revived me," Damian spoke, gazing up at her intently. His eyes traced her cloak and face with a distraught expression. Raven nodded, her eyes watering as a relived feeling washed over her.

Without warning, Raven pulled him into an embrace, squeezing his body tightly against her own. "Never leave me like that again," she said just above a whisper.

Damian let out a small laugh. "I'll try my best not to," he replied and returned the gesture. She buried her head into his shoulder, and he could feel her silently crying.

They stayed like this for a moment, until Raven broke the silence.

"Damian... I love you."

Damian's eyebrows rose at the sudden statement. This was the first time he'd heard the confession. Sure, it was an obvious implication, but hearing these words was a different feeling. No one had ever spoke these words to him.

His lips curled into a smile as he closed his eyes, taking in her scent. It felt good to be back amongst the living. But, without her, it wouldn't be worth it.

The thought of him killing her almost made him laugh. Deciding not to was the best decision he'd ever made. Falling in love was definitely not part of the job, but, this was his new life, and he wouldn't want it any other way. The girl he sought to kill had saved him.

"I love you too, Raven."
