Amber was now leading the way, so far we had been walking helplessly for about six blocks.
"Do you know where you're going?"
I quickly blurted out, trailing just behind Amber, now holding Rocko in my arms, only this time making sure he was secure and was not going to take a leap of faith out of my arms any time soon.
"Yes, we're going to Chester's."
Amber asserted.
It sounded like a fun house for little kid's birthday parties.
"What's that?"
I questioned rather curious.
"A bar."
Amber replied.
Okay, definitley not a fun house for little kid's parties.
"But Ashton's only 18, and it's the middle of the afternoon."
I pointed out.
"Let's just say Ashton has a fake ID, and my father knows a few people around town."
Amber announced.
Right, the whole rich thing. I had almost forgotten.
"Why would he be at a bar?"
I asked.
"You ask too many questions, just keep up! We need to find my brother so you two idiots could fix this mess."
Amber huffed annoyed.
There was really only one idiot in the situation and it was Ashton.
Was I supposed to possess the powers of a mind reader, and despite him disregarding any feelings he had for me, still think he had a thing for me?
It was alot to ask of a mear 17 year old Ashley Powers.
Seconds later we turned down a dark alley that lead to small shops jumbled together on the streets, and finally we came to a small black building with white headlights covering it's roof, and a big neon orange sign reading, Chester's Bar & Grill.
It then occured to me that I was still holding Rocko.
"Hey Amber, what do I do about the dog? It says no pets allowed!"
I stated, pointing to the "no pets" sign painted on one of the doors.
"I know the guy that owns this place, and it's the middle of the day, just bring Rocko inside it'll be fine."
Amber assured me.
I nodded and followed behind Amber into the entrance of the bar.
A guard at the door pressed his hand asgaisnt Amber's chest stopping her from walking any further.
"Woah woah woah, miss i'm gonna have to see some ID."
The tall, and stocky bald man ordered.
"I'm Mr. Mayfield's daughter, look i'm not here to drink, or to even stay at all, i'm just trying to find my brother, have you seen him?"
Amber questioned.
It must have been nice being able to get your way, just by telling people your last name.
"Oh sorry about that, he's over at the bar."
The guard informed her, flashing an apologetic smile.
"Come on Ashley keep up!"
Amber ordered as I trailed behind, smiling at the guard before heading inside.
The bar was rather crowded for so early in the afternoon, girls wearing tank tops and tight skinny jeans lined the bar, along with several men playing darts in one corner of the bar, holding big jugs of beer.
