Red met red, as his tall figure stood over the cornered male.

His power was something he used to be proud of, he certainly had reasons to be, maybe it was the way the fear clouded over his eyes of his prey or the sense of validation and admiration he felt from the others around him when he used it.

Either way, he held the high ground as he faced the dangers of the mind, like a brave sailor sailing trough the sea in the middle of a storm, this particular mind belonged to one of the witnesses from Carlisle, the leader of the Olympic Coven, Haruto Toshiro from Japan.

His mind was not complex, it was a simple task he had this time, just to alternate a memory so that the man would turn to their side and join the other witnesses.

As he felt the blackness of mind turn into a new place, he completely entered the memory removing Carlisle and his mate out of the picture replacing them by his brother and him talking to him about the situation.

Euthymius exited the blackness, his eyes wandering throughout the face of the male, his focus centered around the eyes of the other which were still black, the mind of Toshiro still processing the change that had been made. The pair of black eyebrows on the face of the Volturi Guard forrowed a bit.

He left the rest of the work to the others as he adjusted his cape around his shoulders, he watched what happened with little interest until his brother called Demetri and Felix who ripped out the others head with no hesitation.

"Really, Aro? We had him in our side." He asked slightly angry at how fastly he disregarded his work.

Aro simply offered him a smile, a smile that he would send him everything he was sorry, he didn't like to say sorry, so the lowest he would go was with that smile.

He had once told him a leader should never surrend himself to those underneath his pedestal, only if said person was above him, Aro didn't think of anyone as an equal or as better than him, he didn't enjoy the god complex his brother had gained during the last Millennium, however he knew his words would mean nothing to him.

Euthymius shook his head and simply joined his guard.

There was no time for arguments with the battle so close.

Or so Euthymius thought.

The arguments rose in the heat of the moment, which no one could certainly point who had started it.

Felix's nose flared as he stared down at the newborn before him. Not so far from them, Afton and Chelsea were glaring at each other whilst Renata tried to break it off between the two.

Euthymius who had just gotten back from hunting, quickly hurried back towards Aro whom was sitting on a log watching them fight. "What happened?"

"I'm not quite sure, Euthymius." The male spoke, not lifting his eyes from the fight.

The one standing looked at the other in disbelief before heading over to the middle of the fight.

"Enough!"He spoke loudly and harshly, making the others look at him. "What do you think you are doing?"

"I'm sorry Euthymius, it was all that newborn's fault." Chelsea spoke.

"It doesn't matter who started it!" He spoke through gritted teeth, looking at them sternly."My guard is behaving like children, and that does matter."

He let out a sigh as the others in front of him looked towards the floor.

This was going to be a long night.

Short but at least not that cringy.
Also auto-correct keeps trying to change Euthymius to Euthymios and I'm completely done with it.
