A dark haired male carefully placed himself inside a round bathtub.

Unused to such luxury he had his eyes wandering around the bathroom and scanning it, he felt weird being somewhere that wasn't completely in ruins, even if he had been in the Cullens house it was still something he had to get used to.

He had felt like he needed to take a bath after smelling the wonderfully clean scent of Euthymius Volturi of mint and of soap, he felt like he had came out from a pigsty compared to him.

He fully submerged his face underneath the water and stayed like that for quite some time since he didn't really have to breathe, he took notice of how quiet it was, underneath the surface. He liked quiet.

The white ceiling above was still surprisingly without any sign of humidity, no stroke was noticeable, everything was so uniform and perfectly built in that castle.

Stefan didn't exactly know how he was supposed to feel about his current situation, maybe he was selfish for forgetting all about revenge after seeing a pretty face or maybe he was a bohemian for being to able to forget everything for a chance of love, so without any expectations of how to feel, he resorted for feeling numb.

After he felt clean he got out and dried himself before looking at the giant mirror in the bathroom, he stared at his features.

Euthymius hadn't showed much attention to him the day before, the only true time he even spared a glance at him was when he completely ignored his question and simply snorted at something he couldn't quite get, he looked more at Vladimir, he even spoke to him directly, maybe he didn't find him as handsome as the blond.

He raised his fingers to his face caressing his face, he had always been insecure about his looks even though many women had told him before he was pretty, he still didn't feel comfortable with how he looked, he wasn't ugly but he also wasn't handsome, he was average.

He got out of the bathroom and chose some clothes that the Volturi so generously had gifted him, he chose a white button up shirt with short sleeves, brown dress pants and brown varnished shoes that shone as the light hit it like a diamond in a exhibition.

He rolled up the end of the pants a bit since it covered the shoes, he didn't even want to question how they knew his measurements, probably dear Aro
had seen it in his mind yesterday before Euthymius arrived.

He tried to even out any creases in the clothes, as he looked at the mirror attached to the door of the wardrobe, so this is what they wear nowadays? It wasn't all bad, not at all bad actually, he really liked it, it was simple, not casual and not fully formal either it was perfect for all occasions, it was practical and comfortable, maybe he would wear more of these kinds of clothes in the future.

The brunet slowly advanced to the balcony in the room that was hidden by the red velvet curtains matching the sheets on the bed, he stepped outside and looked around.

The sky was filled with stars as the full moon lit up the sky, the moonlight enlightened all the crevices of the castle and created shadows on the ground as the circled railing made out of stone projected a shadow with the same contouring and shape.

He glanced at his side scanning his surroundings only to find another figure in a different balcony a few meters away.

How cliché.

The moonlight was drawn to him, the light reflected from his skin, he was taking out something from his pocket as something hanged from his lips, he didn't have his cape on him or a vest just a button up shirt with its sleeves were rolled up.

Euthymius placed his leg on top of the railing and took out a matt box, taking one matt out of the box and sliding it against his shoe and taking it to the cigarette in his mouth.

The fire shone through the night before he putted the flame out.

"Isn't it dangerous for us to get that close to fire?"

Euthymius immediately looked at him, his brows were furrowed and his jaw locked.

He eyed the other for a little bit, his pink lips curled up slightly before they went down immediately.

Stylishly, he took the liberty to let out a breath of smoke as his skinny fingers held the cigarette between them.

He looked ethereal in Stefan's eyes, under the pale moonlight, with his sleeves rolled up, however the perfect look hadn't seemed so important as soon as he saw the scars on his arms.

The youngest of the two saw where Stefan's gaze was directed towards quite fastly, the Volturi man was quite observant he had to give him that.

He rolled down his sleeves in order to ignore further questions that might come due to his arms, he took another drag before dropping the cigarette to the floor and stepping on it, extinguishing the flame.

Without any warning, the man turned on his heel and stepped towards the entrance to his room.

"Wait!" The words left his mouth before he could think of what to say next.

The other stopped and looked at the other from the corner of his eye.

"Why are you ignoring me and Vladimir?" He questioned after awhile, he finally let out the words that he had wished to say during the whole day. "Did we do something to hurt you?"

There was silence, a overwhelming and painful silence that swam through the air, slowly a pit of anticipation grew in him, he was expecting a simple answer however the one he got only raised more questions.

"You seriously don't know? I guess it was just a banal act for you, was it?" His voice held nothing more than rage and sadness. "I truly don't want to talk to any of you so try not to direct me with innocence feigning speeches. Goodnight."
