FOLLOWING SCOTT'S STEPS Isabella walked behind the alpha as they followed her grand mother outside the Calavera compound
"so you're just gonna let us go?" the werewolf asked perplexed
"i sent four men out to where Kate was rumored to have been seen, none of them came back" Araya said as they stopped momentarily
from a distance they could see their friends standing by Stiles' jeep and standing with them was Nicolas making Isabella sigh in relief knowing she could still count on him
"let's see if you could do better" Araya tells Scott before glancing at her granddaughter "after all you do have my best huntress"
Scott looked at Isabella who had a blank look on her face as she stood beside him before turning back to the older huntress "you could've just told me she was alive"
"you wouldn't have believed me but now i know what kind of alpha you are and where your next step lies" she says to him
furrowing his brows "what next step?" he asked
"when you take the bite of an innocent, when you make a wolf of your own— that's when i cross your border and come knocking at your door" she warns the young alpha
as the two turned to leave Araya grasped Isabella's arm stopping her "mija, a word before you leave"
Scott looked hesitant but after seeing the girl smile briefly he nodded "it's okay" she mutters.
Gesturing for her guards to leave the two Calavera huntress was left to their privacy although Isabell knew Scott was probably listening in
"i mean what i said earlier, you have changed mija— you're no longer the same girl i used to train" Araya says and seeing her granddaughter make no attempt to say anything she continued
"however you are still a Calavera— that part will never change, you will always be my family Isabella and despite the choices you make in your life i hope you remember that this place will always be your home" she says
Isabella sighed looking into her grandmother's eyes before nodding shortly "take care of yourself, Isabella— and send my regards to your papa"
and without saying anything else Araya walked away leaving the young huntress standing there watching her
and that's when Isabella knew that despite everything that her family has put her through
despite all the pain and trauma that she endured throughout the years she was under the care of Araya Calavera
she could never truly hate her for that for she was family
and loyalty is one of the Calavera's proudest traits.
Approaching her friends she heard Scott and Stiles discussing where they were gonna find Derek, as Stiles landed his eyes on the girl he immediately turned to her pulling her into his arms "oh thank God you're okay— you are okay, right? they didn't do anything to you?" he asked worriedly as he checked her body if she was injured anywhere
"i'm okay Stiles" she tells him putting a comforting hand against his cheek "what about you? did Nicolas get you guys out just fine?"
"Nico— Nicolas?" the human boy swiftly turned his body towards the said man who was casually leaning against the jeep with a charming smile on his lips "you know this guy?" Stiles asked his girlfriend
she nodded at him "yeah he's the friend i was telling you about, you know the one i said who can help us"
"oh so you really were the one who sent him to help us..." he mumbled
