ISABELLA SLOWLY BLINKED her eyes open breathing heavily feeling the air slowly get constricted, she winced in pain as she felt hard metal against her back, she looked around her and realized she was in some sort of metal box similar to a coffin

the huntress pounded her hands against the metal wall above her— she felt herself start to get more and more panicked the longer she stayed in ther

"dad?! dad! somebody! help me!" she shouted

her chest tightening as the space got smaller and smaller— isabella continued to kick and and punch the walls hoping to somehow get out but it was no use

she slowly start to realize that she was in one of the compartments in the morgue where they put the dead bodies "dad! help me! somebody please— i'm not dead!" she cried

the sound of someone's feet walking into the room was heard and relief immediate flood the young huntress' body, as she was about to call for help again a wave of terror washed over her

"tsk tsk tsk, you should've been more careful, mija" the sound of her grandmother's taunting voice filled her head

isabella whimpered clenching her fist "i'm sorry, i'm so sorry i didn't mean to— it wasn't suppose to happen..."

"i am so disappointed in you isabella..." the thick accent in her grandmother's voice only made her more terrified and embarrassed of herself "how are you going to continue the family's legacy now? you are a disgrace"

the huntress choked on her sob "i— i can still be a hunter— i- i can still be a calavera".

The metal box she was laying in was suddenly pulled open and she winced at the sudden brightness blinding her eyes

araya calavera looked down on her granddaughter tauntingly "a hunter? a calavera? my, my mija... how are you going to do that when you're dead?"

"no, no, no, no, please abuella no— i'm not a werewolf— i'm not i swear i- please" she cried but araya didn't listen as she placed the sharp blade against isabella's throat and in one swift motion she gasped as blood poured out her neck

isabella screamed her eyes glowing bright purple "ISABELLA! ISABELLA WAKE UP!"

miguel pulled her daughter close to him as she trashed around her bed and pulled her hand away from her throat— the huntress opened her eyes seeing her room and heard the voice of her father calling her name "It's just a dream, isabella it's just a dream"

"what—" her eyes fell down on her right hand where she was grasping one of her ring daggers making her eyes widen, she threw the weapon on the ground "what? i- i don't understand—"

"i was in the other room when i heard you screaming and when i bursten in here you were about to... you were holding the dagger against your throat" her father explained to her in a quiet voice

she burried her face against her father's chest gripping his arms "It's okay, you're okay it was just a dream" he whispered to her.

Isabella didn't get back to sleep after that, too scared that if she did she might actually shoot herself in the head or something, miguel calavera stayed up with her daughter talking to her about other things to distract her from what happened but to also keep an eye on her

sunrise eventually came and the brunette girl got dressed and ready for school however instead of her usual routine in carrying weapons on her and strapping ring daggers on her back she opted out of it and instead just got ready like any other normal teenager would

"are you sure you want to go to school today? it's okay if you miss a couple days deaton said we're still figuring out what's happening to—"

"i'm fine dad really, nothing's happening to me it was just a nightmare— maybe i'm just immune or something" she said dismissing her father
