ISABELLA UNPACKED THE final box in her new room in her new house in her new town— it was a tough decision moving across the border and leaving the home you've known for more than seventeen years but she knew that it had to be done and she couldn't really control the situation so just like always she shut her mouth and followed her family's orders, like a good little mija

her father knocked on her door and opened it peeking in "are you settled in nicely?" he asked stepping inside the spacious room and seeing how different she has decorated it compared to her old one back in mexico

"yup" she answered popping the p at the end "papa don't you think this house is a little too big for the two of us?" she asked amused as she sat on her bed facing her father who gave her a chuckle

miguel shrugged "i know bella but we needed the extra rooms for you know... and besides i thought teenagers like having big rooms to themself"

the female hunter rolled her eyes "since when was i like other teenagers dad"

her father chuckled once again and walked towards her placing a kiss on the top of her head "right, you're way more special and who knows maybe this new town will give you the chance to be like other teenagers and finally do teenager things"

"imposible" she mumbled as miguel exited her room leaving her by herself again.

It has always been her and her father for as long as the young hunter could remember, and she was fine with that— despite being a hunter of the supernatural, miguel calavera always made sure to give time to his daughter and never let her forger that she still had one parent that loves her unconditionally

she couldn't say the same for her mother though, that cowards abandoned her and her dad when she was seven and never saw her since— isabella was taught that it was because her mom wasn't that fond of her dad's 'lifestyle' so she just pack up her bags and left her husband and daughter not even looking back.

It was currently friday and as much as she hated it she would start at her new school on monday already, not even giving the teenage hunter a chance to settle in the new town but nonetheless she had no choice in it and isabella wasn't that worried, she was taught to be brave and strong not shy and weak— a new high school wouldn't kill her

and besides what could go wrong? it's just high school she has dealt with something much worse.

A few hours later she volunteered to grab dinner for both her and her dad considering miguel was busy setting up their weapons and making sure the house was secure and 'supernatural proof'

with a small dagger on the waist band of her black jeans and a chinese ring dagger in her boot, the hunter exited and house and got in her black jeep— which was also heavily loaded with assortment of weapons hidden in different compartments

the town of beacon hills appeared to be quiet as the sun went down, isabella carried two paper bags of takeout meals in her hands and put them in the back seat of her car before driving off again in the dark streets of the town— after a few minutes a certain shop captured her eyes and made her debate on whether to go in it or just drive home

it's not like dad will kill me, i already have a few the young huntress thought as she slowly took a u turn and parked her jeep in front of the shop— isabella hopped out of her car and pushed open the door hearing the small bell above it jingle

when she entered the tattoo parlor she was greeted by a man who she assumed was the tattoo artist based on the amount of tattoos covering his skin and two teenage boys with brunette hair— one was sitting giddily on the chair while the other one was holding up the book filled with different designs and showing one to his buddy
